Steven's POV

I was nomming on my donut that I got from the big donut.
As I walked around the city I decided to just go to the park (idk if beach city has a park but it has now so shhhh)
As I was walking a group of kids bullying a young girl

"HEY!"

I stepped in and picked up the young girl who was crying, then I looked down at the kids who well...ran away

"Are you OK?" I asked in a soft tone
She slowly nodded "t-thank you, m-mister"
I chuckled "call me Steven"
She smiled softly "o-ok! T-then call me y-y/n)"
I smiled and nodded
I then put her down and checked her, she bruises and a small wound
"Where are your parents?"
She frowned and looked away
I sighed "want me to take care of your wounds?" I asked softly and she nodded.

I picked her up again and walked home...

(Y/n)'s POV

W-we were in his house and he took care of me!
N-not like my....mommy a-and daddy..
I began to tear up a lil just to think of them
"H-hey, what's wrong?" He asked while lightly patting my head
I just hugged him and stayed quiet
He sighed softly and hugged back
"M-my...p-parents a-abandoned m-me"
I quietly said

He gasped and pulled away from the hug
"Why would the do that?" He asked and I began to cry softly
"I-i dont know"
He hugged me again and I cried into his chest
"Shhhh, its OK....im here" he said softly

I looked up to him "c-can i-i stay w-with y-you?" I asked hoping for him to say yes

"Of course..." He said and smiled

"W-will you p-protect m-me like y-your lil s-sis?" I asked and he smiled softly

"I will.......(y/n)...."

I hugged him tight

"t-thank you....

..Big bro..."
