Chapter 12

When we entered the training room, I was ready to enter heaven. And to my luck, what awaited me was hell. People were all gathered by the back entrance, mumbling and whispering.

"What's going on?" I asked Hansel, who suddenly became tense.

"A fight is about to break outside in the field," he replies and begins pushing his way through the crowd. I followed behind him and we made it all the way to the back doors that led to the field out back.

Hansel and I shoved people out of our way until we reached the clearing where two men stood, eyes glazing gold and bodies shaking.

"Wolves," I whisper to myself. I immediately recognize the two men from the Coliseum meeting, they were the two that almost got down into a fight.

One man on my left was tall, white, a muscular built, and had sandy blonde hair. He had about 60 men at his flanks, all snarling and growling at the man across them, the man on my right. The man on my right had dark brown hair, tan skin, and also had a muscular built. He also had 20 or so men at his flanks, all growling and snarling at the other man.

They were both Alphas.

Double shit.

"You incompetent pup! You have some nerve to come here!" the blonde sneered, "Rogues aren't welcome."

"The King said that whoever wished to join the war could," the brown haired man growls back.

"Rogues aren't trustable, especially since they can't follow the rules," the blonde yells.

"You're just angry that I left your pack because you're a horrible Alpha!"

"You are a traitor! I trusted you as my Beta and now look at you! Alpha of the Rogues!" the blonde growled.

"I'm a whole hell lot better Alpha than you ever were!"

The blonde man growls and so does his pack. He is near phasing, I can sense it. If the two men phase that will start a battle between these two packs and unnecessary blood will be shed.

I sense Hansel taking a step forward to stop the feud but I beat him to it. I dash in between these two angry wolves and I raise my hands cautiosly to them.

"There's no need to fight," I tell them both, trying to keep my voice low.

"Stay out of this, lady," the tan man growls and takes a step forward, his eyes never leaving the blonde man. Since he took a step forward, then so did all of his pack. That caused the blonde man and his pack to take another step forward.

"We came here to fight Klaus! Not each other! So both of you, calm yourselves down," I ordered them, not keeping either or out of sight. Look at me, I'm inbetween two rivalry packs, it's a death wish. I might as well profess my last will.

"Not with this rogue! He's an enemy! He could be a spy for all we know!" the blonde man fires. Then brown haired man lets out a humorless laugh.

"Is that how low you think of me?"

"This is you we are talking about, Marcos. You have no spine," the blonde man hisses. Both men take another step forward and suddenly both my hands are touching their chests. Their chests are heaving up and down and I can literally feel their bodies shake.

"Catherine..." Hansel warned.

I know what I'm doing, I try to reassure him. Hell, truth be told I have no idea what the hell I'm doing.

"Listen none of you are the enemies, okay?" I say, my voice surpringly stern, "If you were you wouldn't have passed through the main gate. Remember the real enemy here but if you two want to go ahead and kill each other..."
