I promise I'll write someone besides Armin and Levi after this. Oh, and this chapter is over two thousand words- your welcome mother fucker.

The birds chirp softly and cheerfully in the early morning light. The sky is a brilliant blue, with only a few clouds dotted here and there. The green rolling hills have patches of flowers strewn out on the ground.
You and Armin sit under one of the few trees, leaning against it. His head is in your lap, splayed out across your white pants. Your fingers brush through his soft blonde locks, over and over again.
His nimble fingers weave many multicolor flowers together, making the starting of a flower crown. Were they daisies? Daffodils? You couldn't remember, Armin's lecture about flowers earlier had gone in one ear and out the other.
Armin pauses for a minute, and glances at the birds flying overhead.
"(Y/n)?" You hum softly in response. "Do you think I'll ever be a bird?" His wide blue eyes follow the birds as they fly straight over the wall.
You smile. "You're a human Armin, you could never be a bird."
He finishes weaving the last flower into the crown, sitting up to place it on your head. "That's not exactly what I meant." He explains, leaning against your shoulder. "Maybe I'll be... reincarnated into a bird? When I die."
Your eyebrows furrow. "You won't die for a long time, not on my watch." You say.
He sighs, laying back down.
You wait for a minute before starting again. "Why do you want to be a bird?" You ask, laying down next to him to gaze at the sky.
"They seem so free... Like they can do anything. Anything they want." His voice is in another world, a soft whisper that you can barely hear.
"I suppose so..." you say, leaning over to kiss him.

The midday sun shines overhead, reflecting off of the shiny silver maneuver gear. The wind pushes against your face as your horse gallops across the field, causing your (h/c) tresses to fly out behind you.
You survey the area, keeping the most important things in the front of your head.
My squad, titans, and flares.
You know you need to focus on all of this, and all of this only, yet you can't help but think about the love of your life.
Armin...
Every mission the worrying gnaws away at you, but you have to live through it and hope you both make it through the mission.
One of your squad members points out a colored streak in the distance, quickly followed by another.
Purple and... Blue? We just started the mission...
Your squad leader quickly turns around and begins to gallop back to the base that had been set up.
You continuously glance back to the fading colors as you wonder-
What the hell is going on?
You quickly make it back to base as you had only been riding for 20 or 25 minutes. Only a few groups had made it back, and you quickly dismounted your horse and fed it a treat, leaving it for a new recruit to handle, as it is their job.
You look for your best friend.
Nope... Nope... Ew no... Aha!
You push through the crowd towards Sasha and Connie. "Hey guys." You say, startling them a bit before they relax.
