Copter wiped the tears that keeps falling down his face. 'Damn, this hurt so much.' He wiped his eyes once again as the credit for 'A Walk To Remember' rolled down the television screen. 'Why did I ever choose that movie?' He thought as he continued wiping the tears.
He stared at the screen for a long time just letting the tears fall freely on his face and at that moment he knew that the tears falling are no longer because of the movie.
"I'm sorry, Bas."
He felt so bad wasting his friend's effort in making sure he is okay because here he is breaking down once again. There is no one else to blame for what is happening to him. He brought this all to himself. He should have stayed away from the older man from the start. He wouldn't have fallen this deep with nowhere else to go if he'd only done that.
'No games, Copter.'
He remembered the man saying just before he runaway. He wanted so badly to believe him but he can't do that not with the man engaged and will be married few months from now. He prayed that the man will just forget what happened last night. He hoped the man will buried everything in the depth of his mind and locked it there forever.
He continued crying for what seemed like an eternity after having these thoughts because he knew deep inside what he wanted. It's totally different from what he kept playing on his mind but he knew there is no way for it to be fulfilled.
"I can't have him."
He shouted to no one. He wants Kimmon so bad. He never wanted anything this much in his whole damn pathetic life. Is he really not worthy of being happy? Or of being loved? Maybe yes that's how pathetic he is.
'God, if that's the truth then can you just tell it to my face so that I won't have my hope build up just to have it crashing down every time.'
He slumped down the couch feeling so tired, defeated and hopeless. He stared at the ceiling as he tried to stop the tears from falling. He heard his phone pinged. It must be Bas checking on him. His friend will surely come running at his side if he knew about his state right now. He reached for his phone and checked the message.
Bas: I hope you have a goodnight, Copter 😉
He laughed at the irony of his friend's message. Good is very much far from what he is feeling right now. But he doesn't want to worry his friend. Bas had already done so much for him. It's time for him to let his friend be happy with the man he loves so he replied.
Copter: I will try 👍
He breathed in as he stood up from the couch. He can't go on crying like this. Nothing good will come out of it. He went to bathroom and laughed when he saw what a mess he is in the mirror. His life is so pathetic but he doen't have to live up to it, right? He washed his face and fixed his hair. He went back to the living room to check what movie to watch next. He was already sitting comfortably on the couch when his door bell rang.
'Who could it be? Bas?'
But his friend could just let himself in with the spare key he had long ago given him. He shakes his head as he head to the door. He opened the door ready with his complaints to his friend for making him get out of the comfortable couch.
"Bas!"
He shouted but immediately choked on his words as he saw who is at his door.
"Kim."
'What is he doing here?' What happened to him?'
He asked while looking at the man disheveled form. He had never seen the man like this before. Kimmon kept on staring at him while he try to calm himself because his heart decided to do somersaults inside his chest while being under the man's stares.
