A glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel wattys 2023

The baby

As Logan was heading to the men's clothes part of the store he heard guns going off so he hid away from the gunfire that was happening around him as well cause he was scared on the inside as well he was hoping no children were in the store and they would get hit by the gunfire he laid low until the police came and took the gunmen  

"I hope no children are here," he says as he was hiding still from the gunfire cause it was really loud and it was starting to fade away and by the loud of it the gunmen were staying away from the men section of the store

Once the gunfire stopped he went to see if there were any victims cause he was worried that there were victims from this whole thing and he was more worried if there were children hurt so he was going to continue to shop as he was going to look for victims and he was going to help them out. He hears a little girl crying, so he was going to see where she was and was going to help her out as well

"Hi sweetie," he says as he approaches her slowly not to scare her too bad

Logan sees her mother was taken down as she was looking at clothes and by the looks of things she was shot on the side of the head as well so she was dead in seconds

"Its okay mommy might make it," he says as he was going to see if there was help close by so the mother could get help, and see if there was still hope for her and he didn't think she was going to have hope of coming back from the dead as well

The mother was dead at the scene so the paramedics covered her as they took her away cause he stood with the mother until helped came to see if she was okay or not okay and she was not okay at all, and he told the paramedics he had the little girl cause the little girl checked out just fine not a scratch on her which was a blessing from above right now with the scene of events that were occurring right now around him and that was scary enough

"Come on then we have to look for others who are hurt just hide I can get you a blanket or something to hold," he says as he was looking at blankets that she could hold as they were looking for victims and survivors

The little girl nodded as she looked at him as they went through the store looking for survivors as well from this

Logan helped as many as he could while keeping the little girl calm as well cause she was really scared out of her mind right now and she wanted her mommy to come back and make it better for her and Logan knew that was not happening at all

"Little one come here," he says as he was picking her up to comfort her and make it better for the time being until he got her to his new home that was in the middle of nowhere

Logan hummed a tune and that helped a little bit so he went to sing the song and that worked wonders with her and she was settled back down and had her blanket with her so she was a happy camper right now

"I am going to have you face me," he says as he faces her towards him so she did not freak out at all as they were still shopping and looking for survivors from this whole ordeal

The little girl nods as she was looking at him cause she was really scared

"I might as well get you a car seat" he says as he was going to get another cart for the car seat and clothes for her so she was safe as he takes her home cause the mother looked like she was a single mother, and he didn't know if she had family to care for her either so he wanted her to be safe right now

She picked out her car seat and was happy with her picks and he heard a baby crying too

"Sounds like there is a baby close by" he says as he was going to get a base for the baby just in case the baby was in her car seat as well and he needed a base for her car seat as well in his car

Logan saw the baby and he saw she had a name on the side of her car seat

"Hey Aaliyah" he says as he was going to calm her down right now cause she was not happy at all

Logan saw the little girl name was Jeopardy

"Jeopardy it's okay" he says as he saw tears come to her eyes once again cause she was really scared right now

Logan was going to hold both girls in his arms before putting them in the carts to leave the store with what he got so far, but he was going to have the baby checked out cause she was bleeding a little bit and that scared him right now that she got hit by the bullet 

"Okay girls I think we should go this place is too scary and Jeopardy you are too scared" he says as he was leaving with them

Logan paid for everything and got the car seats installed and got the girls secured in no time

"Okay Aaliyah I am going to get you checked out, and I got to tell the hospital you got shot" he says as he was going to comfort her cause she was not happy right now and he knew what he had to do 

Logan got in the car and headed to the hospital to get the girls checked out. He sang all the way there and the girls loved it

Logan parked and Jeopardy got out of the car while he got Aaliyah out of her car seat and she still wasn't happy, and the hospital knew it was another victim from the shooting coming in and Aaliyah was taken to the trauma part of the hospital to be looked at s Logan registers her and Jeopardy, and he explains that both girls mothers were shot down and he protected them for the time being just in case another gunmen came into the store 

"Jeopardy will you go with the nice lady to a room to be seen?" he asks cause the ER was huge and there were separate wards for everyone

Jeopardy nods as she leaves to go to the room cause she was not seriously hurt like the baby was 

"I'll be back there soon" he says as he kisses her as she left

Logan filled out the paperwork as fast as he could, so he could go and be with the girls cause Jeopardy was really scared right now and he understood that part with her and he had to check on the baby as well to see how she was doing cause she might be here a while cause of her injury as well 

"Aaliyah I'm coming sweet girl" he says as he heads to where she was then he was going to check on Jeopardy after    

Wishing everyone merry christmas and happy holidays plus a happy new year going to be going forward in the new year with more on this story this story needs to be up to have better laws on gun violence

More is coming like the girls get checked out when work is not so nuts and I am not getting shipped between two stores and doing everything as well I am going to go ahead and get the next chapter up in the near future
