Answers

Pixal and Nya opened the door of the monastery and crept in.

"Hi gals." Jay greeted them
"Is he asleep?" Nya asked
"We think so. We gave him his medicine and some food."
"How is he?" Pixal asked
"Tired mostly. He threw up one more time whilst you were gone and carried on sneezing, but I think he's nearly better."

Pixal was really happy about this news. That meant she could soon hold Zane in her arms again.

"Any news on Misako?" Nya asked
"She's coming back with Wu tomorrow. We don't even know if she can cure him!"
"It's the last hope we have." Pixal said "if she can't fix him then we will have to build him a new body and update his frequency setting. It's take a long time and he won have all f his memories back but it would be our only option."
"Let's hope not."

They went through to the kitchen where the others were waiting for them.

"Good, your back." Kai said
"Why? What happened?" Pixal asked, sitting down
"Nothing bad! Just.... something strange.." Cole said
"What?" Nya asked
"You see. We were trying to put him in his cot and he wouldn't stop crying." Lloyd said
"And I may of accidentally told him that you were at the ice cream place." Jay said
"And somehow... he managed to get out his cot, get outside and temporarily summon a dragon without us noticing!" Kai said
"Strange...." Pixal said quietly.
"Yeah I know right! We've never seen it before and we don't know what it-" jay said
"No. I mean, this has happened before." Pixal said
"What??" The boys and Nya went
"Last night... I was putting Zane in his cot and.. he started talking to me. Not like he has been recently, but... as if it was the real Zane talking. He said that he couldn't remember but he promised he would try. He would try to.. remember us, and himself. And I promised him that we would do everything we could to get him back to normal and.. I know I should have told you but I just... I didn't really know how or what to say." Pixal was tearing up now. In the corner of her eyes there were a tiny bit of tears. "A-and the reason I d-didn't care if I caught the nindroid flu was bec-cause I feel mostly responsible for him. A-And I.." Nya wrapped her arm around Pixal as she cried. "It's okay Pix. We understand. Maybe you should get some sleep."

The samurai got up and went to her room. All she really wanted was to be near Zane, so the quicker she fell asleep the quicker she could hold him again.

Zane was the first up again and was feeling much better. With a bit of effort he climbed over his cot and landed safely on the floor.

He quickly scanned himself to check for any sign of nindroid flu and thankfully he was cured.

He creaked the door open and snuck through to the kitchen where Pixal was already making breakfast. "She looks sad." Zane thought.

Pixal saw Zane in the corner of her eye. "Zane?" She asked. The toddler squealed in delight as he ran up to her and tried to hug her. She picked him up and spun him around happily reunited with her boyfriend, whatever he looked like.

"Oh Zane! You're okay!" She said clutching him in her arms
"Pix-wal!" He squealed hugging her
"From now on I won't go far away from you at all. Not until you're big again. That's a promise." She said kissing his cheek

After a few minutes the others came through.
"Oh good! He's better." Nya said
"Mmmmm... pancakes are my favourite!" Cole said putting a mountain of honey and sugar on his stack of pancakes.
"Sugar and honey? Who has sugar and honey?" Kai asked disgusted
"It's actually really nice." Jay said
"Can one of you please give Zane a pancake topping? He's to young to do it himself." Pixal said
"I'll do it!" Jay said
"Don't give him anything crazy." Nya said
"Like sugar and honey." Kai said
"Or raspberry's and lemon juice." Cole said
"It's delicious!!" Kai protested
"Sure.. whatever." Jay said putting on a bunch of toppings

When Pixal turned around again and saw Zane's plate she glared at Jay.

"What? It's really good!" He complained
"I don't think that a mountain of marshmallows and Nutella is too good for Zane." Pixal said
"I'd beg to differ." Cole said watching Zane happily scoff down his crazy pancake and in the process, getting chocolate all over his hands and face. Pixal walked over to him and wiped his face clean.
"You may be interested to know that Misako and Wu are coming back this afternoon." Cole said
"That's great!" Pixal said
"It'll be nice to have the team back together." Kai said
"Well we don't even know if she will know how to fix him." Nya said
"Have faith Nya. We'll get him back to normal. Whatever it takes." Jay said

An hour or so later the doorbell rang.
Lloyd, Nya and Kai ran to the door and opened it.

"Hey mum!" Lloyd said
"Hello Lloyd.you said there was something you wanted to show me? That you thought I could fix?"
"Well... your gonna have to see it to believe it." Nya said.

They lead Misako and Wu though to the kitchen where they saw Pixal wiping baby Zane's face clean from chocolate.

"Oh. Well. This is... unexpected." Wu said walking over to them.
"How.. how did this happen??" Misako asked
"Well you see we went into the digiverse to fight a guy called Virus and he injured Zane and by the morning he was a kid and he's been like that ever since." Jay said quickly
"We hoped that you might be able to fix it." Pixal said
"Tell me. When he was injured was there a purple substance around the injury?" Misako asked
"Well.. yes. Why? Is that bad?" Pixal asked
"That purple substance is a fraction of pure designated evil." She said
"So... that's bad?" Jay asked
"Very."
"But what about getting back to normal?" Kai asked
"If we do that then he would be too dangerous."
"But you can get him back to normal?"
"Well yes."
"How can we extract the substance?" Pixal asked
"I'm not sure. There may be an answer in the library.
"Well then that's where we're going." Lloyd said.

And the ninja and Zane went off to the library.
