Y/n was never very social. Most people didn't even know what her voice sounded like. She was very shy and only spoke when spoken to or if she was comfortable. Though, Gin managed to make friends with her.
"Nice ta see ya, y/n~!" he called to her. She looked up at him and smiled, then going back to where she was going. Gin pouted.
"Y/n-chan."
"Yes, sir?" she whispered. He raised a brow.
"Wait, you can speak?"
"I can, but I don't want to."

It's been years since that encounter and they've been amazing friends ever since. Gin would tease her and y/n would muster up the courage to tease him back. He had taught her so much, such as it was okay to be shy and that not everyone will hurt her. She managed to talk to people she wasn't familiar with and slowly came out of her shell.
"Gin?"
"Hm?"
She hugged him. "Thank you."
