Its been a week, a week of spontaneous hoverboard games, popping into each others house, COD competitions and lots more. It is the day of the looked forward BBQ
The girls were in matching T-shirts and skinnies, turbans and slippers. They were gonna enjoy the BBQ, they each had a particular thing to grill or make. The boys were dealing with the grills, the parents were dealing with the finger food while the girls were making the drinks
They were all laughing at jokes from each other, screams erupted when they heard Nurayn and Farha were dating. She told them how it came about
"So Ruha dear, what about Greek God and you?" Muna asked wriggling her eyebrow
"Greek god?" Ruha asked confused
Muna sighed "that guy is the hottest guy I've ever seen and he doesn't even know how hot he is. My friends asked me to give them his handle, all of them"
"Girl, the 1st time I saw the guy two years ago, my mouth hung open for a full minute before I was snapped out of it" Afra said
"I didn't even know what to do the 1st time I saw him" Hanan said with a laugh "I had to blink to make sure I'm seeing right"
The others laughed at their experiences "so Ruha, what's up with Na'im and you?"
Ruha shrugged "nothing much, we are just friends"
"You chat daily" Farha pointed out, taking part in something that has to do with Ruha
"Friends chat daily" Ruha pointed out "you can read our chats if you want"
"Okay" all the cousins said in unison trying to collect her phone
She rolled her eyes and pocket her phone not letting them get near it
"Girls, your friends are here!" Amma screamed
Before anyone could say a word, the girls raced out leaving Ruha alone since she was the only person who didn't invite anyone as she didn't have any friends
She went out through the French doors and was stunned at the amount of young adults there were in the garden. Different designer dresses, different types of make ups
She smiled already knowing she is going to be entertained for a few hours. This girls looked like they came with a mission. Operation get boyfriends.
She felt Jamal come to stand beside her and put his arm around her shoulder, she rested her head on his watching the girls converse and laugh
"Its going to be interesting don't you think?" Jamal asked "they look like they can perform witchcraft on innocent male species"
Ruha laughed "yeah, you are innocent Jamie. Stop lying to yourself"
Jamal laughed "okay I admit, I'm not but in my defense, it ain't my fault Muna refused to notice me"
"Muna is going to come around and see what an amazing person my brother is and if she doesn't, its her loss" Ruha said
"Just like its any guys loss if he doesn't see what an amazing person you are"
Ruha smiled "I carry too much baggage bro, no guy deserves that"
"The right guy will know just what to do and will accept your baggage no natter how much it is little sis, for that I'm sure"
There was a moment of silence maybe for the people that were going to come into their lives and make them eternally happy or for the serene tranquility of staying in your siblings embrace
"Jamal, Ruha, come and meet your siblings friends" Amma called. The siblings obeyed going to meet both the male and female friends, most of which they didn't know
Ruha was standing beside the table sipping her hibiscus drink when she zoned in on a conversation between Adda Salmas friends
"Na'im is soo hot, I've been trying to get him to notice me but he didn't" one of them whined "I mean I'm hot right so why doesn't he approach me"
"He didn't look at any of us at all" One of them whined making Ruha stifle a laughter "I'm sure he isn't taken coz I asked but its like he's immune to everything"
Girls. Impossible. The angel himself decided to make an appearance standing beside Ruha. The girls arranged themselves pushing their mouths out and chest
"Dollar for your thoughts" Na'im said. Ruha shook her head "so as usual, I catch you alone, what's up?"
She showed him her drink "this"
He nodded and showed her his plate which contained shawarma "I love this things"
"No, you are obsessed with them Na'im, the amount of times I've come around and seen you eating shawarma is uncountable" she replied walking over to some table and chairs she sighted at the corner, Na'im beside her
"No, you actually just meet me taking ice cream or something not shawarma" he replied laughing
She nodded at this knowing he is absolutely right, Na'im has a sweet tooth and he's almost always found with something sweet
"So Ruha, how is University life?" Na'im asked her randomly
She shrugged "AUN is alright I guess, I like it, its free"
"Ahhh... I see everyone invited friends over, why didn't you?"
She shrugged "didn't want to"
She sat with him and they discussed latter topics laughing. They were in their bubble, away from their problems which weighs them down
Some looked at them with smiles, happy to see the rare peace in them while others looked in jealousy but they didn't care. After all, they were together and that's all that matters
