9.7 Forgotten Bishop

A/n: this was supposed to be updated a day before Christmas as gift for the readers of this book. But something came up unexpectedly, my cousin's husband died and I pity my cousin and her two children for losing a father at such a tender age. Make it more difficult is that my cousin is three months pregnant for their third child. It was so sudden, that my cousins have their siblings reunion at Christmas day turns to be mourning day...

        Now that the leads can't find Seraphine's whereabouts, the flow of the story runs different. At the end of the story, the leads supposedly end the life of Seraphine and have their happily ending but due to another soul interruption their love story flow smoothly. And a building without foundation is a weak one, truly they have peacefulness but Hiro Saito's character was design to live without contentment. He always seek for something else and sudden peacefulness coming from the game consciousness made a silent storm inside his heart.

Meanwhile... There are two person away from people's eye. One who clings like a glue and the other one sighs how to escape from the desperate hold of the man.

"Let go," she demanded coldly at the man. Yohann just smiled sweetly and hugs her tightly.

"No. I won't let go," he refused stubbornly.

[Host. Please do take precautions. The game consciousness becoming aware of you being out of character]

Seraphine gritted her teeth. You wanted to take control? Try to tame this sticky man off me. How about that?

Yue peek at Yohann who had a creepy lovesick looking face. He shivers.

[Host. Don't worry! Just stay cold and you won't be out of character!! You can do it!] He said then log off.

You coward!

Seraphine shakes her head head. Using her sonic wave, she throw away the clingy guy away from her. But it seems that Yohann is a masochist because he still had that smile on his lips.

"Next time you cling like that. I kill you myself," she threatened

Seraphine was about to say another word when her notification beep. It seems like that the game sent her a news. And her guess wasn’t wrong, the two leads have known her identity. But how? The game sent her another notification that Erica found a hidden treasure that can see one’s identity even how much cover one player use.

“A treasure from the 90th castle? How can her hands hold on that, we even can’t raid the 75th castle!” Yohann blurt out behind her receiving also the same notification.

Reason? That must be the story plot line giving her cheats again. Her lips curled upward, great story plot line. She couldn’t wait to crushed it.

“It doesn’t matter anymore. Whatever they use, they still don’t have a chance against me. Her treasure weakness is that it wont effect those player higher than 90th level,” she said. Her level before is 90th level now that she gone through another level break through she’s now at 99th. She just need to take a little precaution because the story plot had many surprises, what the story plot doesn’t know is that the game is on her side and the game world is still resisting the domination.

“Let’s go,” she said at the clingy man who hugs her again. She release another sonic wave, she smiled when she heard his groan being thrown far away. “That’s better”

She frown when her notification beep once again. Seraphine Strauss, mission. Level up to 100th.

Wth! She just level up to 99th and it was already hard. How about the 100th?

“Susu ran!” Yohann shouted from afar. Seraphine quickly dodge when someone attack her from behind, she wave her hand and turn her staff into sword. By the scent and the warmth that she can feel, it was no doubt the male lead Hiro Saito.

“How did you found out?” she whispers. Their swords keep on clashing as she keep on dodging from his fierce attacks.

“No matter how you change. I will always know you Seraphine. I gave you a chance to live but you attack my beloved that put her in grave danger,”

“When did I attack your woman? I’m with Yohann all the time,” she tried to reason out. She was confused, when did she attack Erica?

“Liar! All evidences points out to you!” he said then throw her ice spears.

Seraphine gritted her teeth, so close minded. Can she kill this male lead? It was still considered as breaking the plot line but if she do it then the game world will still collapse. A creepy smile crossed in her lips as a very good idea pops up inside her head. If she can’t kill him, she still can make him invalid for the mean time if he still tried to kill her.

“Oh? Then show me all your evidence and let’s judge by the looks of it,” she tried to negotiate.

“You think I will still believe in you? After you hide the truth that you are the hidden boss? Dream on!”

“Then you say that you’ll believe me if at first I told you?” she ask that made Hiro stop from his attacks. Then only he notice the tears that falling from her covered eyes. She raise her hand to stop Yohann from Hiro’s back whose about to attack.

She laugh weakly. “Oh? You can’t answer didn’t you? Because the answer is visible, you wont believe me because I’m on the bad side and you’re on the good. And I’m not in a low IQ to say ‘Hi I’m the hidden boss, can you not kill me? I just want to be friends with you’ huh,”

“I grew up with you Hiro-kun. Even though you only see me when I’m ten years old, I always follow you since I was seven, your scent, your warmth, everything. But I should distance myself to you because I am design to be bad and I am scared to to see the hate in your eyes if you know the truth. I don’t want to be bad, I have no foundation to be so, but to defend myself, I need to be one,” Yohann walk towards her and engulf her in a warm embrace.

“Is that why you attack Erica?”

Yohann stare at Hiro with a dangerous smile on his lips. “Susu already told you everything. She only defend herself and not attack. Since you are very narrow minded, I’ll tell you this. Have you ever think the possibility that shape shifter might be the one who attack Erica? I heard that the victim only see the shape shifters as the one they hated or fear the most. Maybe that’s why you see Susu attack Erica, it’s either you hated her or you fear her,”

“Y-You---”

Yue, Yohann, he isn’t being out of character, is he?

[Host. This system didn’t detect any abnormalities from this character]

“Be happy, Susu wasn’t after you anymore. And believe me, I won’t let her go after you in the future. Whether it is heart or soul. She’s mine”

Seraphine was about to say something when something hit her neck. Next thing she knew, blood is dripping from the corner of her mouth as she lost all her strength.

A laugh resonated at the surrounding. What stand in front of her is the supposed to be in danger Erica Stuart.
