"This can not be happening!!" Faye yelled out. She almost threw her phone to the floor out of rage. Her ticket to their reunion was gone. The taxi driver gave her a strange look and rolled his window back up.
"No, wait!" She tapped on the taxi window. He started the engine and drove off.
The hotel was thirty minutes away by car and by foot it would probably take two hours. The only way to get the address was to charge her phone, she had to find an outlet somewhere. Faye propped open her luggage and rummaged for her charger. She had read in a travel guide that there were charging kiosks almost everywhere in the city, it was time to hunt one down. It took her 6 minutes to find a charging station. As soon as she booted her phone up, she dialed Xiaojun again. The line only rang once before he answered. "What happened? Are you okay?! Did you get hit by a car?!" He yelled through the phone.

Faye couldn't help but chuckle. She covered her eyes with her hand. "Hit by a car?"

This was typical of Xiaojun, he would over worry and think the worst if something was wrong. Faye could hear his smile over the phone and he let out a small sigh. "Car accidents are the number one cause of deaths for foreigners in China....I read it in one of your guides."

"I thought you said I didn't need my guides because I had you..."

He chuckles again. "You do have me, Faye." He pauses and exhales. "You have all of me."

His deep and dreamy voice calmed Faye. "And you have me..." she whispered back.

"I'm coming for you okay. Just stay there."

Faye could hear his footsteps going down steps.

"Wait, what about the party? What about your manager?"

"The guys are covering for me. You know them, they'll get creative with the excuses."

"Jun, can you stay on the line while you make your way here?"

"Yeah of course." Through the line she could hear him slam the door of a car and give a driver directions. "Okay I'm on my way now."

Faye made herself comfortable at the charging station. He was on his way and she would just wait to be in his arms again.

"Do you remember our first date?" She asked him.

"Oh no, not one of my best moments." He groaned. "I swear I studied the menu the night before!"

Faye laughed. "You really ordered the spiciest thing in the menu and you didnt know?!"

"And then our kiss afterwards...oh I felt terrible."

"Your lips were so numb because of the spice I don't think you felt it" Faye touched her lips. He may not have felt it but she remembered it clearly. She could taste the spice on his lips, the kiss that ignited their spark.

"I couldn't stop thinking about you since that night." He whispered. "The way you smiled, the smell of your perfume, and the way you looked at me."

Xioajun whispered so low that it made Faye shiver. He had whispered the same way in her ear the first time they slept together. She faintly felt his finger tips brushing against her bare skin and his warm breath blowing against her navel.

"Faye? You still there?" He chimed in.

She shook her head and came back to the present. "Yes I'm here." She cleared her throat. "You just had me thinking about the hot springs."

"Oh" he chuckled. "That's one of our better memories."

"One of many." She insinuated.

He cleared his throat. She could feel him getting flustered over the phone and she couldn't help but smile at how he must look like.

"You can drop me off here sir" he said to the driver.

"You're here?!" Faye looked around at the crowds for a familiar face.

"Just about. I'm going the rest of the way on foot. You said you're by a charging station right?"

"Yes! It's by a convenience store!" Faye's heart started to beat faster knowing that he was closer. She could hear his heavy breathing as he walked faster. The line rustled into white noise. She could tell that he was not putting the phone by his ear anymore. Faye kept scanning the crowd but still could not see him.

"Ah I see you!" He said over the phone before hanging up.

"Where?! Jun? Jun?" Faye her phone in her pocket and stood on her tip toes. Suddenly she felt two arms wrap around her shoulders and pulled her backwards.

"I found you." He whispered in her ear.

Faye turned around and hugged him tight. Tears started dropping from her face and it soaked his white buttoned up shirt. "I'm sorry I messed your holiday." She sobbed into into his chest. Faye didnt want to ugly cry but her emotions were taking over her.

Xiaojun squeezed her tighter. "You didn't mess it up. You made me realize how important you are to me. I would have had every policeman in Shanghai looking for you."

Faye slightly pulled away from his hug. She looked into his eyes before pulling his neck down and kissing his lips.
