a fairies first kiss,
is their first sign of freedom,
their single greatest song,
and their most sorrowful lament.a fairies first kiss,
is their first chance at heartbreak,
their first chance at something real,
something humanlike,
something that's not been cultivated,
and set for a fairytale happy ending,
a fate too long awaited
and yearned for.because a shattered heart,
is better than the torture
of their unsung lullaby,
repeated day in and day out,
bloodied and blue,
from the fighting of a fair and far few,
begging for the freedom,
to let their wings fly,
to escape from mountain and hilltop,
breathing in the beautiful scents,
of lilacs and daisies.
