if the sun set the world aflame,
would you hold my hand,
and sing my song,
until the fire died out,
and the coals began to smolder?if the sun set the world,
into perfect little flames,
of burning orangey hues,
and dashing darling blues,
would you sing my name,
from your sinful lips,
and worship me
'til our lips turned blue?darling,
if we were to die tonight,
charred and blackened,
hopeless and alone,
in bright brilliant flames,
would you love me 'til the end?
or leave me and cast me out,
pretending you forgot my age?
