-ricky ~ cafe-

i was going to a cafe with ashlyn . it was a relaxing place . we would usually go there to do our homework or to just talk .

we then arrived and entered the cafe , the smell of caffeine immediately being sensed .

after ordering our drinks , we sat down .

" arent you glad you joined theatre ? " ashlyn asked . she was the whole reason i joined . she always told me that it was a great idea and she was right .

" yeah . its surprisingly really fun , " i laughed as she laughed too . i took a glance around the room . my eyes then came upon a familiar face .

" shoot , " i mumbled , looking the other way to make sure i wasnt seen .

" what ? y/n/n , are you okay ? " she asked in concern before turning around to see what worried me so much . she then caught a glimpse of ricky bowen , my crush .

" oh my gosh ! " she practically screamed before i shushed her , " sorry , you should go talk to him ! "

" no ash , i cant . hes with nini , " i softly said , taking a look at them again .

" oh come on . they arent together anymore , " she said .

i sighed , " can you come with me to the restroom real quick ? "

" yeah yeah of course , " she said . we both got up and walked to the restroom .

ricky's pov

i softly gasped , seeing y/n and ash go to the restroom .

" what ? " nini asked , turning around but seeing nobody there .

" shes here , " i mumbled .

" whos here ? " she asked .

" y/n is here . she just went to the restroom with ashlyn , " i said .

" ooo , you need to talk to her . you havent even talked to her before and you both are in theatre , " she rolled her eyes and laughed .

" can you go check up on her for me ? " i asked . i was honestly a bit worried . i caught a glimpse of y/n's face and she didnt look too well .

" um , yeah sure ! " nini said before getting up and walking into the restroom .

y/n's pov

" y/n you okay in there ? " i heard ashlyn call out from outside the stall .

" yeah , im fine , " i said . i wasnt crying or anything . i just got really nervous when i would see ricky and i would physically distance myself from him .

i then heard the restroom door open , " hey ashlyn , is y/n in here ? "

hearing nini's voice made my heart race . i honestly didnt want her to see me either .

" yeah , why ? " ashlyn asked . i then unlocked the stall door and smiled at nini while fiddling with my thumbs .

" hey , " i nervously said .

" hi . oh um , ricky told me to check up on you . he was a bit worried , " nini said . her statement made my heart flutter at the fact that ricky wanted to check up on me , " he also wanted to speak to you . "

my head shot up , " s-speak to me ? "

ashlyn smirked at my panicked voice .

" yeah . i mean , if youre okay with it of course . " nini looked at me for approval . i looked at ashlyn only to see her giving me a look to go and talk to him .

" oh , y-yeah , " i stuttered before we walked out of the restroom .

nini and ashlyn sat at a table together and i walked to the table where ricky sat at .

ricky was unaware of my presence , since he was on his phone . he then looked up to see me sitting in front of him , his eyes widening .

" y/n ? w-what are you d-doing here ? " he asked nervously .

" nini told me you wanted to speak with me , " i said , narrowing my eyes . ricky shot a glare at nini which she just gave him a thumbs up .

he laughed , " yeah . oh , we've never actually talked to each other huh ? "

" yeah . i dont know why i never talked to you . you honestly seem like a cool person , " i stated , immediately regretting what i said . i looked up to see him blushing .

" t-thanks . i think youre a cool person too , " he nervously said . there was an awkward silence after that , before he decided to break it , " hey , maybe we should hang out sometime . "

" really ? " i asked in shock . he nodded , " sure . we should also start talking more at school . "

he laughed and nodded softly . we then both looked at nini and ashlyn , only to see them already looking at us .

we both laughed started talking some more until we had to go .
