"ben." alyssa whispers, her strength faltering as she stumbles towards him.
he didn't say much, clicking the small button under his helmet and sliding it off slowly.
"i-" alyssa could see the tears in his eyes, he was trying his best to fight the pull back to the light.
"ben," she reaches him, raising her hand to his face.
they stood for a while, before he finally broke. she knew he was his weakness. she knew she had a higher chance of bringing him back to the light than anyone else did.
"alyssa, where have you been?" he finally manages to say something.
she didn't respond, just gulped and nodded. before she had time to answer him he had his arms wrapped tightly around her, falling into a series of bouts of tears.
alyssa thinks about letting go, moving back slightly though he kept his hold. they stood for another small while, and he stood up again, composing himself.
ben looked at her, eyes flickering between her eyes and his lips. he lay a small kiss on her lips, quickly. she knew he was trying to keep a dull personality.
"alyssa," he purses his lips happily, taking her hand in his. "take me home." ben whispers, running his thumb over her knuckles.
"okay." she whispers back. tear still clouded her vision as she brought him home.
in the small ship, the entire time he held her. he had to know she was there, he had to know she was safe.
they stepped off and memories flooded his mind. leia walks from the back of the post slowly, waiting for alyssa. then she met eyes with ben.
"mom." he breathed, walking towards her. his speed quickened when she started to walk towards him.
"ben, honey." she reaches up, hugging him tightly. the proud smile on her face showed it all.
alyssa caught up with the two, standing beside of ben.
"i don't know how i managed, but i brought him back." alyssa smiles lightly at leia. ben wrapped his hand over hers.
"you two really have something." leia pats ben's shoulder. "i'm proud of you."
"what's that supposed to mean, leia?" alyssa laughed softly, tilting her head.
"i know you two have loved each other since you went of to training." she still had a slight smile on her face.
"i suppose so." alyssa nodded, looking up at him.
"is that my que to say i love you?" ben looked back at her, eyebrows furrowed.
