You Don't Know

You don't know what I go through
In this dreary paper town
I make my way past paper people
I face my demons
In various new styles
So don't judge me.

You don't know where I come from
And what ghosts I carry within me
The dread I face every night
Because of the same people
Who seem to love me when it's bright
So don't judge me.

You don't know how I survived
To be here in this moment
With such beautiful persons
And the marvelous world that this is
I believe it to be a gift.
So don't judge me.
