•Chapter 19•
*Alexs POV*

If homophobia triggers you I suggest skipping a part. I'll put ~~~~ when its about to come and when it stops!

-A month and a half later-

I sigh in happiness as I rest my head on a pillow on the couch.

"Finally." I mumble.

Ethan plops down beside me.

"It's about time." Ethan smiles at me, slightly sweaty.

"The house is fully furnished and looking amazing." I smile.

I look at the gleam in his eyes and my heart melts.

Which is when I have a bright idea.

"Hey Astor?" I yell.

"Hm?" He comes down the stairs.

"Do you mind if we go out for an hour or two? I have somewhere I'd like to take Ethan?" I ask.

"It's no problem. I have xbox to play, duh." He runs back upstairs.

I roll my eyes.

"Teenagers." Ethan mumbles.

I just chuckle and grab his hand. We race out to the car and I hope in the drivers seat. We buckle up and I turn on some music to fill the silence.

I start becoming unbelievably nervous. My hands are super sweaty. I'm gripping the steering wheel as if I'm mad. I'm not relaxed at all.

"Calm down, calm down, calm down." I repeat to myself in my head.

Everything will be okay. It's fine.

What if he says no?

What if it's too soon?

It's probably too soon.

You're being stupid.

Can you even handle the rejection? You'll go home and cry.

You cry over this anyways so what's a little rejection.

I shake my head to stop the thoughts.

"You good?" Ethan looks over at me.

"Yeah. Yeah, I'm fine." I force a smile.

We make it to the park and I smile at the memories. We both get out and I lead him past the playground and I just sit on the grass.

"So I didn't know how to word this. Or how to even go about it. But I figured bringing you to a place where we made happy memories would be a good start." I pause, looking up at him.

Ethan just looks confused.

I grab his hands and close my eyes tightly, trying to erase any bad thoughts. I finally open my eyes and look directly at him.

"Would you be my boyfriend, again. I know its kind of soon but-" I get cut off.

His lips are on mine in an instant and I melt into it.

It's cut short due to the fact that we're near a park and PDA in public isn't a big thing for either of us.

"Is that a yes?" I chuckle.

"Of course its a yes." He smiles at me and pulls me into a hug.

I sigh contently into his arms.

"I don't want to wear this stupid shirt or these stupid pants with this stupid shirt." Astor grumbles.

"Tuck your shirt in, you look like you were raised in a barn." Ethan scolds him.

"Pretty much was." Astor rolls his eyes.

"Just tuck it in, Astor. Please." I pinch the bridge of my nose.

"Why! It's just dinner with friends and parents." He sighs dramatically.

"Because this is a fancy place and we need to look presentable. Good life skills too." I look at him.

He looks at me annoyed and tucks in his shirt. We finally walk into the restaurant. Astor goes to walk directly into the dining area but Ethan pulls him back, gently, by his collar.

"Reservations for the Ezell and Pierce family." I smile.

"Right this way." The man smiles.

We follow him to an area away from most other groups and I'm greeted by family and friends.

He walks away and Ethan, Astor and I sit down.

My mother, father, Chandler, Nadine, Matthew, Isaac and Isabella are here.

"It's about time." Isabella smiles at me.

"Astor decided to be a moody teenager in the parking lot." I smile at her.

"That's normal." Chandler looks at me.

"Where's Alice?" I try to be polite.

"Couldn't make it. She's sick."

I nod.

~~~~
"You're still with that boy?" My father looks at me.
"Yes, dad. Ethan and I are together." I look at him, maintaining eye contact.
"I can't believe I have a homosexual son. I didn't raise you like this, boy!" My father yells.
I holds Ethan's hand under the table.
"I can't believe I have a father stuck in the 90's." I challenge him
He stands up and walks out of the restaurant.
~~~~

"So much for a nice meal. Always have to ruin it by bringing along your human toy, Alex." Chandler chuckles.

"I'm not human." Ethan looks at Chandler, confused.

"Oh right. You're a newbie." Chandler rolls his eyes.

"If I were talking trash about Alice, you'd be angry and want to fight me. But I'm sitting here, tolerating this. You talking trash about someone I want to marry one day. I think that shows who is more mature."

He growls and remains quiet, clearly unsure of what to say.

"Marry?" Ethan looks at me.

"I-" I get cut off.

"Would you guys like to order your drinks and food now?" The waiter comes up.

Isabella starts and it goes through a line until it reaches me.

When we finish ordering, everyone is quiet.

"How's the house?" My mom speaks up.

"It's lovely. We finally finished furnishing it." I smile at her.

"We really appreciate it." Ethan looks at her, clearly grateful.

"I like my room." Astor smiles really wide.

"That's lovely." My mom smiles at us.

"And the apartment?" I look at Matthew and Nadine.

"It's nice having somewhere stable to stay." Nadine smiles at me.

My heart melts, forgetting Nadine didn't have a stable place.

"I'm happy for you Nadine." I smile.

She smiles back and looks at Matthew.

"How have you been Isaac." I turn to him.

"Really good. Still working with Isabella. I plan on going to college eventually." He nods.

I nod back, unsure of what to say.
