The word "Rapture" comes from the Latin word Rapturo or Harpazo in the Greek which means to be physically snatched or taken away. It is often used throughout the scripture when someone was captured and taken to another country, the word "Harpazo" was used. So in this case, we are to be taken up to Jesus into the clouds.
