Acting: Monologue

"Alright next week the practice monologues will be in this order, Bailey, Jenna, Sofia, Tayler, Conor, I will be criticizing you five harder than usual as you've had more time to learn from others and learn from my lessons," the teacher said as the bell rings "see you all Monday"

"I'm going Monday!" Bailey panicked

Lunch

"Hey peeps," Bailey said as she and Kenneth sat down with the group minus Josh

"Peeps?!" Sean said while laughing

"Shut up," Bailey said "What's up with you all, Kenny was telling me how a kid in his class is convinced they can sing but they're awful"

"Who?" Sean asked

"Let's just say they got lucky," Kenneth said

"How?" Charlize said "Auditions are very strict here"

"Well they hit one note nicely but has no other range so if they used that one note to get in then I can see them barely getting in," Kenneth said "Speaking of I still need to hear Sean sing"

"You and me both babe," Bailey said

"You're lucky I agreed to do this don't push it," Sean said referring to their planned duet

"Hey," Josh said as he joined the table that already contained everyone

"What's up?" Kenneth said

"Nothing was just trying to find something in my locker," Josh said, "So did anything interesting happen in your classes?"

"No just more vocal exercises it got boring after a while," Kenneth said

"Learned a boring lesson in my class," Sean said "Made a friend but that's it"

"What's her name?" Kenneth said

"Names Tate and... how did you know it was a girl?" Sean said

"I didn't," Kenneth said with a smile

"So is she a friend or a frienddddd?!" Josh said wiggling his eyebrows

"...What about you Bailey?" Sean said "You haven't been talkative lately"

"It's just my monologue is about happiness and it's making me think am I really happy?" Bailey said

"Deep," Sean said

"I know I know I'm being overdramatic but this is my first acting class and I don't want to mess it up," Bailey said

"It's understandable," Kenneth said "You want to give acting a legitimate shot and even on the surface you want to pass your class at least"

"It's the equivalent to writing an essay in other schools," Charlize said

"Yeah I have until Monday before the midterm where it's essentially our rough draft," Bailey said

"So talking to a new girl?" Charlize asked Josh who was texting

"You talking to a new guy?" Josh said

"Nope, we would be talking about that if so, that's why I'm asking you," Charlize said

"What about Julian?" Kenneth said

"What about him?" Charlize said "Oh the date it was fine might try again might not, it's up to him"

"That doesn't sound like a good sign," Bailey said

"So who you texting Josh?" Charlize said as Josh never answered

"He's talking to Tahani," Sean said as Josh looked disappointed and Charlize looked intrigued

"Why do I tell you stuff when it never gets kept a secret," Josh said as Sean just smiled "I just got her number yesterday so we're just chatting about stuff"

"Like do you have a boyfriend?"' Charlize said mimicking Josh's voice as Bailey Sean and Kenneth laughed

"She's taken so no, just making a friend some people can do that" Josh said as Charlize rolled her eyes at the response

"He didn't know that until recently," Sean said as Charlize nodded accepting that answer

"Hey Sean here's your en you let me borrow I found some in my locker," a girl said coming u to the table

"Thanks," Sean said taking the pen "Um there's a piece of paper on it"

"I know," she said "It has my number"

Kenneth and Josh were giving Sean smirk as Sean didn't' ay them any attention "Ok I'll add it" Sean said, "See ya, Tate!"

"Tate?" Bailey said

"Is she the frienddddddd?" Josh said

"Charlize can you shut Josh up," Sean said

"Already on it," Charlize said cracking her knuckles

"Ok I'll stop just teasing you," Josh said "You do it to me"

"Anyways she's just a friend unlike some people you all talk to," Sean said

"Ok just one question," Kenneth said as Sean nodded to go ahead, "You think she's cute"

*bell rings*

"Bye!" Sean said leaving as Josh and Kenneth laughed

"That's happiness," Charlize said pointing the crying Josh and Kenneth as Bailey just nodded and laughed
