part thirteen,

chases pov:

me and charli both hate school. everyone just tries to be friends with us because of the "hype"
it's a tuesday so that means we have dinner with charli's parents. marc has warmed up to the idea of me and charli. and next week we are going back to the hype house for a bit as we need a break from everything.

i hear a knock at the door
chase: i will get it
charli: thanks baba

i open the door to see marc and heidi. i smile at them.
chase: come in
marc: what have you cooked this week chase it smells amazing
chase: nothing special. just some pasta
he pats me on the back and makes his way to the dining table

chase: come on charli!
i shout up
charli: im coming

it been 5 minutes and charli's still not down
chase: babe!
i get no answer, so i go up to see her on the bed sleeping. how could someone seriously fall asleep now.
chase: charli
i shake her lightly she gives me a groan and turns over.
i put my hand on her head
chase: charli, your running a fever
charli sits up and lays on me

charli: i don't feel well
i pick her up she doesn't look well. she lays her head on my shoulder.

i lay her on the couch and turn the stove off.
marc: what's going on
chase: im taking charli to the er she's not well
i say as i grab her shoes and put them on her feet.
heidi: you treat her well
chase: i try my best
i'm rushing around so i can get her there as soon as possible. i grab a blanket and the car keys.
marc: do you want us to come
heidi: don't be silly chase can take care of her

we get in the car. charli is half awake i'm really worried about her. she's not normally like this. she bubbly and kind. i look at her and grab her hand. i hope she's okay

we arrived i pick up charli who's wrapped in the blanket. she feels frail and week.

we wait for ages until the nurse finally leads us to a bed. charli's been sick 3 times and there still it getting us seen quick enough.

after about two hours of waiting she's finally having tests done i'm not allowed to go with her and i'm scared. i feel myself about to cry.

charli's results and back.
doctor: seems as if your body is going through a miscarriage.
i start crying heavily and so does charli
charli: how i wasn't pregnant
i wrap my hands around her and kiss her head.
doctor: you was very early into the pregnancy and it was almost undetectable but then your immune systems it attacked by a virus and that's when we were able to tell.
charli: i...
she hardly says anything
chase: thanks is that all i think she would like to be home
doctor: we need to inform her parents she's only 16
chase: im 18 i can take her home it's fine
doctor: how are you related
chase: im her brother are parents are out of town
doctor: okay but make sure your parents are given a call
chase: will do

we signed the discharge papers and leave. charli doesn't say a word all the way home. we get straight in bed i cuddle her right not letting her go. she turns around and cries into my chest. it's so overwhelming for her. i wish we never. what am i saying i'm glad we did but not this ending
