Y/N POV
I sit up quickly, still not fully used to the soft churns and quirks of the tardis, despite having slept here for many months. My eyes begin to ache, but the pain is quickly subsided when i remember where i am and who i'm with.
Yaz peaks her head in through my door. "It's kinda late," she whispers a small giggle coming out with the normally boring sentence. "You should probably get up" she smiles warmly at me.

"Thank you, Yaz." I swing my legs over the side of my bed, the masses of books and templates surrounding my vision. I've estimated only a few dozen are books that i have picked out, the Doctor has been trying to educate us all. I look around the dimly lit room, a large window looking out into the deep depths of space. It never ceases to amaze me.

"Look, you need to calm down young man!" The Doctor shouts through the corridor in which my bedroom is situated. I hear a boy - supposedly and hopefully Ryan - shout something about being an adult back, before the Doctor reminds him of her old age.
"Sorry about that!" the Doctor peaks her head around my door, her eyes still not fully awake and her hair not as neat as we would usually have seen it. "Ryan's getting in a bit of a tiff about some nonsense!"

I smile weakly back at her. "Tired? Sad? Angry? Hungry? Custard cream! Is that why you don't look happy? I can go and get one!" the Doctor replies excitedly, her feet looking ready to bound back into the console room at any given moment.
"No, i'm fine! Tired that's all, what's the time anyway?" i respond, and completely telling the truth too. All of this saving the planet and universe can become a tiring task. "Well, Earth wise 3:53am on Tuesday 3rd of October. Oh 2020, can't forget the all important year! But that probably won't be helpful.. in other words you've had 8 hours and 36 minutes of sleep." She smiles at me, her smile feels like a warm hug. "Thank you," I grin, "I'll be out now."

I walk out into the control room, having just previously changed into some blue jeans, a tan colour belt and a black jumper which i had tucked in. "Looking nice today," the Doctor says, "snazzy belt. Love a belt, did i ever mention-" I blush a sweet red and quickly turn away to hide my gratitude.
"That's enough of that, Doctor!" Yaz laughs, walking into the control room, a bowl of cereal in hand. "Where are the boys anyway?" I ask.
"Taking a look around, I think." Yaz replies, flicking through a magazine as she does so.
"Where are we off to today? You sounded like you had a few ideas last night if i remember correctly!" I ask, suddenly wanting to get out and about.
"Well i was thinking we could head on up to this cafe, however it's a dark cafe!" The Doctor looks excited, but Yaz just looks confused.
"Yaz let me explain, it's like a normal cafe except you can't see anything! Pretty cool, right?" The Doctor explains to a slightly confused Yaz.
"Well, I think it sounds like a lot of fun!" I reply, grinning widely.

We arrive a good half an hour later, all excited for the new experience. The planet looks fairly similar to earth, just a pink sky and blue grass proving to be the only differences.
"Well you could've explained just how big the TARDIS is!" Graham chuckles.
"Graham I did! I said infinite." The Doctor replies.
"You day a lot of things, i assumed your were joking!" Ryan butts in. The boys had gotten a bit lost in the never ending corridors of the TARDIS. It had taken a while but the girls had finally found them, stuck inside twelve's control room. Myself and Yaz leave the trio to argue, and step away from the line to stroll slowly behind them.
"So, got anyone special back home?" Yaz asks me, her tone seeming impatient, even.
I chuckle, "No not me, I dated someone a good ten months ago now, but she turned out to not be the one for me. What about you?"
"No me neither, it would be hard travelling with you lot and all. It would be easier to couple up with someone on board, but Ryan is more like my brother, Graham is basically my Grandad and The Doctor.. Well the Doctor is just the Doctor. And we're best friends!"
I nod and smile at her mental diagram, i can't help but feel slightly hurt that she would talk about the Doctor that way.
I know she was only joking and the Doctor just isn't her type but it still hits a nerve in me.
"That's very true!" I laugh back, trying to push my feelings to the back of my head. I look out across the path and see the Doctor and boys still arguing.
Oh what a day this is going to be.
