Marseille's PoV
"Y-Yes, that's me. Say... are you alright? Have these people been getting on your nerves?"
"Maybe. They're so curious about my little sister... Like hummingbirds."
...
"My little sister has been a fan of yours for ages. She saw a rehearsal of your production of 'Swan Lake'. Though done to death, she loves your interpretation. And so much so... she wants you to perform at the palace in Paris, Ms. Tamel as the lead."
"But why her? We're far better than her!"
...
What the Queen says is so, little Darja Rebane. You should not question the Queen's word.
She sees all.
We weren't alone at this private meeting, my family and I. My mother had rescued fugitives, you know. Fugitives from a place that was now feared by mankind.
They were about her age. Old in years, but young in face. Either way... they couldn't go on like that. One thing led to another and...
... they were assisting us in the revolution.
" 'We're far better than her'... These words concern me."
I explained, crossing my arms as I sat in the room next to the worried adults near me.
"Either she is daring and bold enough to speak so rudely to a royal... or I fear that Ms. Rebane might take serious drastic actions against my sister's wishes. We've all seen the outcome of this through the years. None of us like them."
They all shook their heads at what I said. Well, almost all of them did.
Some of them seemed quite busy with something else rather than listening to what's happening at the moment.
"Alright, Noah... I bet you, that my son could most definitely repair a car faster than yours could write a song."
"Are you kidding, Ian?! Of course my son would win! Whereas your son only has skills, mine has actual talent."
"A-Are you implying on something, Dahl?!"
"You bet your sweet ass on it, Brunner!"
"Ahem!"
I coughed harshly, making the two fuming men face me quickly.
"Noah, Ian. What was the last thing I said?"
"U... Uhm... There could be drastic measures taken..."
"... against... Leena...?"
... Hm.
Fair.
"I'll give you that one, but stop arguing. I already have three brothers I have to worry about."
I commanded, making one of my younger brothers - Toulouse - pout.
"Hey, that's mean, grand soer [big sister]!"
I could only shrug in resignation at what my little brother said there, my eyes closed as I did so.
"I hate to say this, but it's true, isn't it?"
He only pouted and crossed his arms, looking away from me with a displeased hum.
What a baby he was at times. However, just as I seemed distracted enough, did the bickering between Noah and Ian start anew. And not just that.
