Miroslav's PoV

"The newly wed triad are settling in after last weekend's wedding. In other news, a couple of days are left before the qualifications for Tokyo's 2020 Olympics. Live on television will be the tryouts for the swimming tournaments. It will be one you won't want to miss!"

This Bei figure was suspiciously switching jobs.

First she's a beauty model in China, and now she's a newscaster?

Sounded fishy, if it were up to me. Why did Yao hang around with her so much? It makes me nervous, for some very weird reason. Now, it's none of my business what my colleagues do, or who they hang out with...

… but this made me uneasy. What could happen in the next few months? This was the only question I could think of while watching TV, noticing a small crack appearing.

Then another.

And another.

"What in the... Wait..."

Glass cracking... That remembered me of when I came with Radmila to get Marek back.

That's when I heard her voice... Her sweet, soft voice, that always sounded like an angel to me.

"... Darling? Is that you?"

A giggle sounded through the air, the screen of the TV cracking still. But... it sounded tired.

"Ahoj, môj najdrahší~" [Hello, my dearest~]

I smiled wearily, longing to hear that voice for so long.

"I'm glad to see you again, really. Come into the light?"

She did more than that.

The sound of broken pieces of glass, jewels, and all sorts of treasures came to my ears as I felt two arms around me, another giggle in my ear.

"Guess what~?"

I sighed lightly and chuckled, carefully holding her hands in mine and closing my eyes.

"My dearest Princess..."

She kissed my cheek with care, whispering in my ear soothingly afterwards.

"Your one and only, Miro... Ľúbim ťa..."

I missed the sound of these words from her. And all for me only…

She stayed like that for a small moment before giggling happily, which made me curious.

"Someone's in a good mood."

"I am! And, shall I tell you why? Shall you dare to discover the truth, Lord Miroslav?"

I playfully crossed my arms.

"I believe I have all the strength to handle it, my Lady!"

She came around the sofa to face me, the mask she always wore sitting neatly on her face.

Yet what she showed me right then... almost made me have a blackout.

She showed me a diamond. And not just any diamond.

"Look here! There is a special engravement in this diamond! Tell me, dearest, what does it read~?"

I knew what it read. And all the while, I still had to look to be sure.

"S. ...M. ...M. ..."

"Serena Marianne Mičelkova, Miro."

Tears beaded into her eyes as she whispered what I wanted to hear.
