It was the day when BTS were going to go on a family vacation. However, things weren't great for Jungkook. He awoke by the faint chatter of the other members, with a stuffy nose. His throat felt raw and painful at the same time. Despite his condition, he still got up and put on his black oversized sweatshirt. He walked down the stairs, being greeted by his hyungs. "Morning Jungkookie!" Said a rather happy and fully awake Taehyung.
Jungkooks POV
As I walked down the stairs, I was greeted by a happy and excited Taehyung. Since I really didn't feel like talking, I just muttered a hoarse and stuffy sounding "good morning". And great of me to do so right after I said that, I sneezed, loudly Enough for everyone to hear from the dining room. I took a huge sniff afterwards, immediately alarming Tae. "Woah kook, that was a huge sneeze. You feeling alright?"
"Yes I'm fine Tae, just a little tickle in my nose that's all." I reassured, but Taehyung already knew I wasn't ok. My voice was hoarse due to my sore throat, my stuffy and tickly nose definitely affected the way I pronounce N and M and plus I was really pale. I walked into the dining room and saw my breakfast sitting there next to Namjoonie hyung. I sat down tiredly, sniffling away.
Namjoon's POV
As I watched the pale-looking maknae sit down, I could hear him sniffling uncomfortably. "Jungkook-ah, eat your breakfast, it's time to go to the airport." Jin hyung said. "No it's fine, I'll just eat when I'm hungry." Jungkook replied. Concerned, the whole table stared at him, but he didn't seem to notice which just stated how tired he actually was. Poor kook 😢.
Jungkook's sneezing and coughing fit broke the awkward silence. I felt his forehead, brushing away his bangs. But dang, he's burning up. My surprised expression got everyone in their own thoughts. "Jungkookie, you're burning up!" I exclaimed.
Jimin's POV
Just as soon as Namjoon said that, everyone burst into action, including myself. I hurried to go get a thermometer. When I arrived back at the miserable maknae, I scanned the thermometer over his forehead, waiting for a beep. After a while, ' beep beep beep' broke the ice. "Aish Jungkook-ssi, you have a fever of 38.1." I announced.
"But then how are we gonna go on vacation?" Kookie whined. "Well, I think we have to cancel the flight and notify pdnim." Hoseok mentioned
And just like that, Jungkook already started crying and apologising that we couldn't go to Hawaii. "Shhhh, it's ok kookie, we can always go next time. Why don't we get you to bed?" I asked. The boy nodded
Jungkook's POV
Once all the hyungs checked me and so on, Hoseok hyung said that we had to cancel the trip. I was feeling Very guilty, or in fact sooo guilty that I cried. Jimin hyung shushed me and brought me to my bedroom. "Jungkook-ssi, you have to have some rest ok?" Jiminie hyung told me. I just nodded since my throat was burning and it was too much of an effort to talk. As Jimin tucked me in the covers, I suddenly felt a tickle in my nose
"What's wrong kookie?" Asked a worried Jimin. I just told him that I wanted to sneeze so he passed me a tissue.
"Achoohooo"
"Bless you kookie, now I'm gonna go get Taehyung and yoongi because they have your medicines. I'll be right back!" Jimin shouted from a distance. Right after he left, I blew my nose which revealed disgusting mucus and yuck it was hanging all around my nose.
Jimin's POV
As I left Jungkook's bedroom, I heard a blowing sound which must be his nose. Anyways, I headed to the kitchen which was where I saw Yoongi and Taehyung preparing his medicines. So I did I did my duty and called them to Kookie's room "Guys come on, Jungkook really needs his medicine now so let's go,".
Taehyung' POV
Jimin called us to Jungkook's room to give him his medicine. When I entered, I saw an adorable, bunny-looking boy sitting on the bed, spaced out. I could see he wasn't looking very pleased when he saw the medicines. I wanted to lift his spirits so I played with him a little:
"Jungkookie, the airplanes are ready to go into your mouth~"
"Taehyung that didn't make any sense but whatever let's give the boy his medicines." Yoongi hyung told me. First, I gave him the cold medicine which didn't taste too bad so it wasn't hard to get him to eat it. Just afterwards, he broke into a coughing fit so Yoongi hyung gave him a glass of water. I have to say, when he gulped it down, he looked soooo precious and adorable even though he has trouble swallowing. Next was his fever medicine and... god he hated it to his soul.
"Ok kookie, just open your mouth wide so I can feed it to you."
"Noooooo!" He whined in return
"Please kookie, we will give you some banana milk if you drink it." Said Yoongi
And right after, his eyes started lighting up. Therefore, he ate the whole thing and Jimin started praising him.
Yoongi's POV
Well, since we got him to eat his medicine, I ran to the kitchen to get his banana milk. Soon after, I returned and fed it to him. I gotta admit, he was the cutest baby bunny I have ever seen.
"Hyung," Jungkook said in a baby-ish voice, "I want to sleep."
I nodded and tucked him in his sheets. Oh wait... before that I changed him into his comfy bunny onesie that suited him to the core (yes it did). Then I finally tucked him in and turned off the lights. Within seconds, I could hear a soft snore coming out of his nose. Poor thing, his nose must be blocked up really badly.
I walked out of his room, smiling slightly.
Jin's POV
I saw Yoongi walking out of the sick maknae's room, smiling softly. So I asked him "Yoongi, hows Jungkook?"
"He's sleeping right now, it's absolutely adorable."
Now I see why he was smiling.
