LIES

ADELEKE

The pillow seemed so cozy but not familiar.

Oh...my head hurt.

I opened my eyes and looked around the brown and cream painted room

"Where am I?"

I tried to twirl as I felt the woman's head on my arm

"Who is this? "

I struggled to look at the face without making a sound

It was Kimani.

"Oh no!!! What have I done again?"

"Shit!!! Did Oluchi leave me with her? I need to leave before this bitch wakes up."

I flipped her over and held my head which was ringing so loudly that I felt it was going to explode.

I remembered I had too much to drink.

"Father will definitely disown me this time."

I picked up the key holder on the bedside table which read the 'Real Sex Hotel'.

"What the ....?" I yelled.

I looked at Kimani who twirled but didn't open her eyes as I gave a sigh of relief

I hurriedly wore my clothes and fought to remain as quiet as possible

"Adeleke, you awake?"

I heard her voice ask just after I had fastened the last button on my shirt.

I looked at her and gave a faint smile

"Were you planning on being a naughty boy and leaving without telling me?" She stood up from the bed and slowly walked to me

"Yesterday was superb and I will like us...." She tried to kiss me but I avoided her lips.

"Yesterday was a mistake. I apologize for the misunderstanding but I was very drunk and I can't remember much"

"But..." Kimani muttered

"But nothing. There is no us, let's pick up ourselves and move on from this moment".

I picked up my car key from the bedside table and looked at Kimani

"You don't know who I am Adeleke"

"I don't care Kimani". I smiled and pecked her forehead. "This room is so small, maybe next time, I'd invite you to have a good time on my King size bed. I'd take care of the bill downstairs; you can leave when you are ready"

"How dare you?" Kimani angrily stared at me like she was going to stab me

"I wonder how many guys you've brought here to fuck. It's a good place not just for me". I twirled the keys in my hand playfully.

"See you next time sweet P".

"You're going to regret this Badmus Junior. Nobody messes with Kimani Sultan. I'll show you"

I left the room as she yelled then I heard the table lamp shatter on the floor and I thank God I wasn't in the room and wondered if instead of the floor, the lamp would have probably landed on my head.

OLUCHI

I haven't said anything in particular to the reason why I came here.
