At school I minded my own business and kept to myself, well at least most of the time.

I did all my work so I could get the best of grades and graduate.

Graduating was the most important thing to me.

Graduating means I can move out and never see my parents again, perfect.

I didn't have a job, my dad never let me.

He always said "it's a man thing" and you could say he was very sexist.

  "Good Morning Jordyn." He said.

     "Good Morning." I said.

"How was your weekend?" He asked.

"It was alright, how was your weekend?" I asked as I sat at my desk.

"It was pretty laid back." He said.

"Well that's good." I said.

The bell rang and now everyone was in class.

English was a pretty easy class.

Mr.Wick is one my favorite teachers.

He's really supportive and caring.

"If you are done with your essay please pass them up." He said.

I took mine out of my folder and passed it to the kid in front of me.

"Okay I'm giving you guys thee last essay for a while." He said as he handed out paper.

"How long is awhile?" Someone asked.

"About two to three weeks." He said.

Everyone groaned.

"Hey you guys got this, I believe in each and everyone of you." He said.

"What's it about?" They asked.

"I'll email you guys later about the topic and it's due a week from today." He said.

The bell had rang, I packed up my thing and left for my next class.

I just wanted this school year to end already.

Once the bell rang I picked up my bag and left the class like everyone else.

On my way out I always passed Mr. Wick and we sometimes talked.

"Have a good evening Jordyn." He said.

"You too Mr. Wick." I said as I headed out the school.

I plugged in my earbuds and began my walk home.

Once I got to my street I tried to prepare myself for what was going to happen.

I walked up to the steps of my house and opened the door.

"Hey baby." She said.

"Hey mama." I said.
