"how do I look?" Charles, Erik and you were on an undercover mission that required you to attend a soirée, so you had to dress up for the occasion.
Erik has never seen you like this before and wasn't much for compliments.
"you look stunning" Charles replied.
"Erik?" you noticed him being a bit absent.
After staring at you for a minute, Erik finally spoke "exceptional" he complimented.
"I believe this is the first time you've complimented me" you smiled.
"well, it is the first time I see you in a dress. I thought we shouldn't draw attentions to ourselves. With that dress, everyone will have their eyes on you" he stated.
"that's the plan. I'll be the distraction and you and Charles can sneak off" you informed him.
"and leave you all by yourself? I don't think so".
"you think I'm not capable of protecting myself?".
"that's not what I said. I will not leave you alone with all these men. We'll go together and Charles can sneak off alone. He can take care of himself, right Charles?".
He knew that Erik fancied you and since he was able to read his mind, he decided to give you two some alone time "yeah. I can do it. You two have fun".
