Shayla POV

When Amanda came back to the waiting room she was being all quiet and shit like she just didn't tell us she was Dave mama. I stood up "Um Amanda don't you think you need t one explaining this shit" I looked at my daddy and said sorry for cursing. 

"Um don't you remember me telling yall about my crazy ex husband, well he beat me all the time and I was pregnant, I told him I had a miscarriage but I really didn't. When I ran away I gave birth to David and put him in the foster care system because I couldn't stand to look at him because he reminded me so much of Dallas." "Why did you shoot him the first time" "I told you he reminded me of his father and if Dallas found out that his child lived he would sho nuff kill me for taking his baby away." "Why shouldn't I kill you for taking mines away" my dad said 

"You're different Shawn you never beat me I wasn't scared of you, I would have had 3 kids and not be able to see none of them so I took Shayla with me" I just got up and left the room. I couldn't stand to look at this woman. 

Kasen POV

Everything makes sense now. Dave was acting so funny and he knew the news because Shooter told him. Its like every since he got shot he been after Amanda. Damn I knew my nigga was adopted but I didn't know he belonged to Amanda. He is Shayla and Shaydon's big brother forreal, thats why he had to big brother over protective thing going on when he saw Shay. I needed to talk to my nigga fr but most of all we needed to find that nigga Dallas.

I went to the desk to try to get some information about Dave. The nurse told me that the blood transfusion was good and they are taking him down to his room and we would be able to see him in a little while.

At this point is was 9 in the morning and my momma been calling all so I needed to go check on Sky and PJ. 

I went and found Shay and told her lets go we gotta go get the kids. She went to tell her dad and brother and they got up and left too. I told Amanda ass to leave because I didn't trust her around Dave. 

I walked into my momma house and the first thing she saw was the blood on my clothes from carrying Dave into the hospital. "What happened son are you ok, you need to change before Sky see's you" She looked over at Shay and she wasn't saying anything. "Is one of yall going to tell me wtf is going on" 

"Ma just chill im gone tell you, go get me a shirt" She got up and walked out. Shay was still looking like she traumatized or some shit but that is shocking news. 

My mama came into the room and I told her before I went in the room to get Sky. "Ma Dave got shot last night, he's ok we gone be able to see him later" "Well whats wrong with Shay, why she not speaking" "She good momma she just taking everything in" 

I walked into my old bedroom and seen Sky playing on her tablet and Pj watching tv. "Dadddyyyy you coming to get us im ready to go home, oops im sorry granny I just want to see my dog I like being at your house" Sky said "You good Pj" "Im good Kasen" I told them to put they jackets and shoes on and meet us downstairs. 

"Ill keep the all weekend if you need me to Kasen" my momma said "Its cool I think imma leave them there with Shay" "Shay not in her right mind to be watching no kids just bring them back later on" "Ok ma ill see you later." 

Shayla POV

I was just trying to put everything together because it was so shocking to me how Amanda didn't just fuck up once she fucked up twice when it came to her kids. I swear thats why I told the truth about Sky being mines I didn't want her finding out later on once she got older.

We was on the way home when my phone started ringing and it was my dad "Babygirl Dave is awake" "ok daddy we are finna bring the kids over there then" "wait kids?" "Ill explain later daddy bye" I hung up and told Kasen to take them over there and lets go back to the hospital because Dave was up. 

When we got to the hospital they told us his room number and we walked in. At first he just looked sleep and then once we got closer he opened his eyes talking slow. 

"This my second time getting shot this time somebody gotta die, Shayla fix yo face im good sis" Kasen looked at me letting me know to stop all that crying "Dave when was you going to tell us that you knew Amanda was your momma" he looked at me shocked "How did you know did shooter tell you" "No you needed blood and somehow she knew you was here and gave you hers saying she was your momma" "I found out after I told shooter to unlock my child case to see who actually gave me up for adoption, I went to kill her that day because how my own birth mother gone try to kill me, but we came across that hoe ass nigga" "His name Dallas um he is Amanda's ex husband and your birth father" Dave looked up at Kasen after he told him them words and said "I believe you honestly so much shit has happened in my life I wouldn't even put it past it being true" "On the bright side im really your little sister" I told Dave he looked over at me and smiled. 

"Kasen do you know why Amanda shot me that day if she knew she was my mother" "She claim that her ex husband Dallas was crazy and you looked like him she didn't want no parts of you and when you didn't tell her where Shay and Sky was she thought you was hiding them so you can tell Dallas where they was" "Man I didn't even know who that man was and when we was at the school shoot out he didn't know me either" 

I listened to them talk some more about the situation and told Kasen we needed to get the kids from my dad's. "We'll be back later to get you Kasen you can Stay with us until you heal"
