"Your not gonna leave me...right?" I asked my best friend
We were sitting down cross legged on the grass about a meter away from the train tracks
The train passed sending my hair everywhere
I slumped my shoulders and groaned.
Luke laughed and fixed a piece of my hair
I looked up at him,then shook my hair out of my face
"No of course not,why would I, your my best friend" he said picking the grass out of the ground
I shrugged
"Just wondering,sometimes best friends don't stay best friends"
"Yeah but we're not like other best friends" he smiled
"Oh really and how's that?" I asked him
"Because-..I-no-it's just-...ugh" he groaned in frustration
"I can't explain it, you make me really happy and I don't think we will ever not be best friends" he said serious for a minute
"I'm 13 I don't need your mushy crap" I said hitting his arm playfully
"Im sorry for loving you so much" he said pinching my cheeks really hard
"Owwwwwwwwww" I drawled out in a monotone voice
"Your hairs awkward" I managed to get out,even though he was pulling my cheeks
"Hence why I've never kissed a girl" he said laughing awkwardly
I swatted his hands away "you've never kissed a girl?" I asked furrowing my eyebrows
"Well we can't all have amazing hair like yours now can we" he joked nudging my side
"Nah I've never kissed a boy either" I owned up blushing
"Really?" He laughed
"Don't laugh I'm more sensitive then you" I said in a derpy voice
"Okay, okay" he said sitting back up
We sat in a moment of silence
"We're such losers" I laughed as we sat in another moment of silence
"Well, it doesn't have to be that way-I mean...-well like-never mind" he laughed awkwardly
"No,what were you going to say?" I asked looking at him
He was looking up at the sky that had gotten dark,i hadn't realised we were out this late
"No it was nothing" he protested
I nodded and realised how much shit I'd be in with my mum if I came back any later than now.
"Fuck I have to go" I said rushing to get up
I tripped over my feet and expected to fall flat on my face but I didn't
I opened my eyes and saw a familiar pair of blue ones
I felt my nose tipping off his own.
And his hands were now on my waist
"Uh um-"
Before I knew it we had kissed and it felt right I don't know how I guess it's my first kiss I'm 13 and he's my best friend and even though i hated to admit it, I had a crush on Luke, my bestfriend, my stomach felt weird my hands were shaking.
We kissed for a few seconds before pulling away
My cheeks were as red as the tomatoes growing in Ms Harrison's garden. Shes the old woman living in the house next to me, who likes to tell my mum that Aliens are watching us.
I got up, helping up Luke
He smiled at me lightly, and I returned it
"I'll see you tomorrow then?" He asked
I nodded "I'll see you tomorrow"
