i woke up my twinkling alarm and peeled the blankets from my body. my parents leave before i get up for school so i have the house to myself. with this information, i plug my phone into my speakers and turn on my playlist.

my school doesn't have a dress code so i always dress comfortably. today i wore a white long sleeve, button up crop top and a pair of high waisted jeans. i accented it with some gold jewelry, combed through my long, curly blonde hair with my fingers and threw on my white gym shoes.

as i hopped into my lexus suv, i texted my mom and told her i was on my way to school.

i stopped in front of my best friend hazel's house and honked the horn. she always showed up to school with her outfit, makeup and hair; flawless. she plopped into the passenger seat, greeting me with a "good morning".

hazel was a beautiful dark skin goddess with long dreads and a small body. it was no secret that she came from money. her mother was one of the people who created the antibiotic phenoxymethylpenicillin so she was always well off.

soon after i picked up hazel, i arrived at delilah's house and honked my horn.

lilah was a beautiful ginger with poofy hair. her whole family were redheads and i've always had the smallest, minuscule crush on her younger brother flynn. we met in second grade when my mom was late picking me up and her mom, who at the time was our teacher, drove me home.

we arrived at school with just enough time to grab coffee from the commons. i ordered my regular, which was a two shots of espresso with hazelnut milk and the girls ordered what they wanted & i paid.

we eventually split and went into our classes before the bell rang.

the teacher took attendance and as i am a little far down of the list, i began to talk to carter.

carter was a 6'1 junior who was captain of the lacrosse team and the biggest flirt i've come to know.

"so, how much do you love me?" he asked me.

"well, considering how long i've known you, i'd say about a gallons worth."

"ouch, that stung. i was looking for more of a 'omg carter, i love you the most ever in the world'"

"well someone has a preconceived idea of how people view him."

"no babygirl, that is how people view me."

after my first few bells, i met up with my girls for lunch around 11:30.

i grabbed my lunch out of my locker and before i headed to the outdoor patio, i stopped by the microwave to heat up my broccoli and rice.
