It's Saturday. Delilah has been begging to be ungrounded but I kept telling her no. Luckily though starting today she's not grounded anymore. This morning she woke up at like 7 am, got ready, and ran outside. She tried to make me feel bad for keeping her inside all week by making a humongous deal out of how much she missed the sunlight. She even kissed the ground but I just stood there laughing the whole time. I'm evil, I know. She keeps talking about some kid named, Sky, I think she said. I don't know but ever since the day she came home so late, she's been so happy. Jc hasn't even had to sleep with her once this week. I was sitting on the couch with the rest of the guys and editing a video when all the sudden Delilah burst through the front door with a guy. "Sky stop!" She giggled as he tickled her. I cleared my throat to get there attention. They stopped laughing and Delilah shot me a dirty look. "Connor, this is Sky. He's JUST a friend. Sky this is Connor. He's my dad." She explained being sure to stress the just, when she said just a friend. I put a fake smile on my face and shook his hand. "Nice to meet you uh...Sky." I said as politely as I could. "You t-" before he could say anything else Delilah grabbed his arm and they ran upstairs to her bedroom. I rolled my eyes and sat back down on the couch. "Um Connor...you do realize your daughter is up in her room alone....with a guy." Jc pointed out. I shrugged but then stiffened up when I realized what he had said. I practically jumped up the steps until I reached her room. I was about to just burst through her door but instead I decided to listen to what they were talking about. "People really say that stuff about you?" Delilah asked, her voice cracking. Nobody answered so I'm guessing he nodded. "Bu-but that's awful." She cried. "It's okay." He told her. "No..no it's not okay. People shouldn't talk to you like that." She said. "I promise Delilah...it's okay. It really is. I don't care about them." He explained. Nothing else was said but I could her quiet sniffling. "They make fun of me a lot. They push me around in the hallway and sometimes they actually hurt me. They call me names and tell me to kill myself. I've even tried suicide before but it didn't work." He explained. By now I was crying too. "I'm so sorry Sky." Was all Delilah said before she began crying again. "Don't worry. We can protect each other." He said. I sighed an decided to leave them alone. He doesn't seem to bad....but he's been through a lot. How can people be so mean? How could you taunt someone to the point that they want to hurt themselves? Or even...kill themselves?
