(this one was an assignment in my creative writing class to be styled after lin manuel-miranda's poems)

i want to wish you ❝good morning,❞
although i know that to have a 'good morning' can be hard.
every simple thing i write to you,
will encourage you to let down your guard.

i know life's not so easy,
because trust me, i've been there too.
but here i am, extending a hand,
serving the gentle reminder that i'll always love you.

so if you ever need a helping hand, use my own,
and if you ever need to scream or cry i'll gladly lend a shoulder.
i trust that you would do the same,
and together we will grow older.

i want to wish you ❝goodnight,❞
a much more soothing notion.
after long days filled with stress,
it can be nice to lay still with no motion.

it's time to sleep,
to let things go,
to let things fly,
to let things flow.

you are my world and all of its stars,
a universe with endless space.
i will be there when you wake,
to greet you again and see your lovely face.
