Unexpected Addition

Date

Dinah and Lauren arrived at on of the most famous Cuban style restaurants in California, Versailles Cuban Restaurant. "Wow Dinah, Cuban food just like at home." Lauren said
"Yea, I know you miss your mom's cooking and you can't get the food here in California so I thought this place would be a close second." Dinah answered.
"That's so sweet DJ." Lauren says, "You are too cute."
Dinah blushed from that comment and walks hand in hand with Lauren in the restaurant. "Table for two." Dinah says to the hostess.
     "Right this way." Lauren and Dinah follow her to their table. They ordered the Cuban cuisine and drinks.
1 hour later
As Lauren and Dinah we're walking out of the restaurant Lauren received a phone call from Ally. "Hey Ally what's up?"
"Lauren you need to come to meet us at the hospital. Camila has a fever of 103.6 degrees. We have been trying to get it to go down for the last hour but it just rose and she is sleeping." Ally said.
"I'm on my way." Lauren replied with tears in her eyes. Lauren then told Dinah what was wrong and the both rushed to the hospital. When they arrive Lauren ran up to the receptionist and said, "Karla Camila Cabello where is she I'm her mother."
The receptionist typed on the computer and said that Camila was in room 727 of the pediatric wing. Lauren and Dinah looked at each other when they were told that she was in a room. That means she is being admitted in the hospital. Lauren and Dinah ran to the elevators and Lauren pressed the 7th floor. When they arrived at the room Lauren burst through the door crying and asked "What's wrong with my baby?"
    The doctor turned and looked at Lauren and Dinah. "By the response, I am guessing you are the mother miss..." The doctor started.
     "Lauren. How is my baby, what's wrong with her, is she going to be ok?" Lauren finished for him.
    "You're baby has a serious case of the flu. She will be fine but we are keeping her overnight to make sure her fever goes down."
    "Thank you." Lauren says. She walks over to the crib and sees her baby sleeping in the crib. 
    "Are you ok Lo?" Dinah asks her.
     "Yea. I'm just glad it's nothing serious." Lauren says. She turns and looks at Dinah and smiles a little. "Thanks for being here for me."
"Wouldn't miss it. I wanna be there for the two of you Lauren. I want to be in you guys's life. I want to see Camila's fist steps, hear her first words. And someday soon I will marry you Lauren. I know this is a lot, but I have cared for you since I was 15 years old." Dinah says.
Lauren looks down and smiles hiding her blush. She takes a deep breath trying to cool off her cheeks while running her hands through Camila's hair. "Thanks Dinah, you mean a lot to me too. I don't understand those feelings just yet but you mean a lot to me." Lauren replies. She turns to look at Dinah and realizes how close they are. Dinah moves in closer and then Lauren moves in the rest of the way and they share their first kiss.

Alright so the next chapter is about to be a time jump for a little bit.
