The next day at lunch, everyone was in the gymnasium for the opening speeches for the presidential election. Johnny walked over to Kenzie. "Hey, Kenzie. Before I go on, it would make me feel a lot better if I knew this was happening. Since I never got a formal answer... will you go to the Prawn with me?" He asked. Kenzie's face fell. "Johnny, I'm sorry... but I can't. The Anti-monsters laws are in effect now because everyone's freaking out about werewolves which means-""Zombies can't go to Prawn." Hayden interrupted, appearing behind Johnny. "Ouch" he said in a mock tone. Johnny looked over at Kenzie. "I'm sorry" she told him. It's okay, it's just so annoying that people are restricting Zombies because of Werewolves." We're not the same!" Johnny exclaimed. "I know, Johnny. I'm sorry my mom brought this law back, I tried to stop her." "Hey, it's not your fault."Johnny reassured her. "Maybe if you go make a killer speech and get elected you can do something about it."Kenzie suggested. Johnny smiled at her and ran up to the stage. "Hello everyone! Good Afternoon. I'm Johnny, your future president... hopefully. Now, if you vote for me, and I'm elected. I will make sure that Zombies are allowed to go to Prawn, because here at Seabrook Zombies are students too, and we accept everyone. Humans, Zombies-" "Werewolves!?" someone screamed from the crowd. "Um, no, we actually won't be-" "No, look! Werewolves!!"Lauren yelled from the bleachers. Johnny followed Lauren's line of point, and saw a group of scruffy looking teenagers wearing various furs, their faces covered in purple eye-shadow and black claw marks. They all had a streak, or clump of hair that was white. Everyone scrambled to hide behind tables, bleachers, Hayden even pushed Brady in front of them. They shouted something at Kenzie, Johnny tried to psuh through the crowd to get over to her, but he was prevented by the hoard of kids trying to get as far away as possible from them. Johnny noticed Annie banging her wrist against the podium. "What are you doing? "He called out. "If we can smash our Z-bands an zombie-out than we can use our strength to overtake them." she explained. "No Annie, that's not who we are." He tried to tell her. "Wolves!" one of the werewolves shouted. They all drew their hands to form claws, and their eyes glowed yellow, the same time as a blue glow was emitted from a pendant around each of their necks. Everyone shrunk further back. He noticed the girl and boy in the front, who looked like they were the leaders of the pack, murmuring to each other. "Wolves!... stand down." the girl said. They all came back up to a regular standing position, their arms dropping back to their sides, as well as both glows fading. Johnny tried to find Kenzie face, but she seemed lost in the sea of anxious eyes and green hair. Then, the girl spoke up. "We werewolves... so admire your little town, so we just came here too... join your school." She spoke. There was a relief over the crowd. "What!?" Hayden exclaimed as he stood up, trying to act brave. "They can't join our school!" He protested. "Technically the Forbidden Forest is in the school district so..." Coach Mani said. "Welcome to Seabrook!" Kenzie said as she stepped out of the crowd and went to shake their hands. Johnny couldn't believe what was happening. "Uh, Kenzie. What are you doing?" He tried to ask, as he walked over to her, a little hesitant as the werewolves looked over at him. "I'm being nice to the new kids. After all, if I wasn't nice to you guys when you were new, we would have never been together." She explained. "Maybe, but we are now. So you don't need any more new friends." He tried to tell her, but she was already shaking hands with the girl. "Devenity? That's such a pretty name." She said. Next she shook hands with the boy. I'm Issak." He said in a soft voice. Johnny stared at the way he held onto her hand after she finished shaking his. "Okay... I think that's enough new friends for one day... or, maybe at all." Johnny said as he wrapped his arm around Kenzie. Issak quickly let go of her hand as Johnny approached. That's right wolf boy, she's mine. Johnny thought to himself, but Issak's eyes lingered on Kenzie as Johnny tried to pull her away. Just then, the bell rang. "Gotta run. See you guys later!" Kenzie waved as she ran off to her next class. Issak stared at Johnny for a few seconds before he turned and followed Devenity. Johnny took a deep breath and walked off to his next class as well.

After school that day, Kenzie danced into the gymnasium to start cheer practice, she was leading it today, since Hayden was preparing for his speech. "Okay! How's everyone doing, I know that I'm way fired up to be leading today's practice since Hayden's away- huh? What?" Kenzie asked as Lauren pointed behind her with a worried expression on her face. Kenzie turned to see the werewolves sitting on the bleachers, watching them. I'm sorry, this space is reserved for cheerleaders only." She politely told them. "Try and make us leave." a smaller, blonde girl, with her half blonde, half white hair up in two braided space buns. Issak whispered something to her. Kenzie shook her head. "No, I don't want you to leave, show us what you got!" She told them. There were some confused looks from the werewolves, and some scared noises from behind her, but they stood up and came over to join them anyways. Turns out that werewolves are pretty good at cheer. Kenzie flew threw the air, doing a backflip, and Issak caught her just in time. She stared into his eyes for a moment, having a flashback to the first time that Johnny has caught her just like this. He put her down, and she smiled at him. She looked up to see Johnny and Annie at the door. "Johnny!" She exclaimed. He seemed upset, and turned around and walked back out into the hallway. She ran after him. "Johnny what's wrong?" She asked. He turned back to face her. "It's just...it was so hard for Zombies when we first came to Seabrook, and now everything's just being handed to the werewolves on a silver platter!" He exclaimed. "Actually they get burned by silver so." Kenzie started. "And why do you know that? How come you're such good friends with them all of a sudden, you have nothing in common with him-them!" He shouted. "They're into cheer!" Kenzie told him. "No, they're into you, and you're into him-them!" He corrected himself once again. "What? Is that what this is about? About- Issak catching me? That's just part of cheer!" Kenzie exclaimed. "Yeah, well maybe it's more than that, maybe it's that I just don't think you should be friends with him-THEM!" He yelled, more at himself at the end. Kenzie shook her head. "Well that's not your choice, Johnny. I can choose who I want to be friends with." "Look, it's just that we've come so far, and now that the werewolves are here, it's setting us all back to square one, even the Zombies. We were finally being accepted." He explained. "Accepted? You call that accepted?" Kenzie asked as she pointed to Johnny's campaign poster behind him. It showed a more human-looking, glossed over version of him. "That's a disguise, Johnny. Not who you are!" Johnny looked at her. "Says the girl who wore a wig all her life." He retorted, regretting it as the words left his mouth, wishing he could reach out into the air and grab them, as if they were never spoken into existence in the first place. Kenzie looked as if a tear was forming in her eye. "Yeah, I did... but only because I always felt like an outcast, because I don't have a real place here... don't have a Zombie crew to back me up. So I'm sorry for respecting a pack of werewolves who were proud of who they are!" She shouted, growing louder until she ran away after she finished shouting. Johnny stayed still as he watched her run away, down the hall, and into the locker rooms. Issak came out of the gym. "Oh, it's you." He said. "What was all that noise?" He asked. "None of your business." Johnny told him, getting closer to him. He towered over Issak by just a few inches, but it made him feel superior. "And do me a favour, stay away from Kenzie, or anyone. It'd be better if you would just leave." He said before storming off.
