(Continuation of the last chapter)

I glared at Zachary as he stared back at me through the other side of the bookshelf.

We were doing this for twenty minutes now. I was wiping the dirt off the shelves while he was dusting the books.

"Your first time doing this, Asteria?" I heard him say in a weirdly attractive voice.

I ignored him. Yes, dumb-dumb.

We finished cleaning our third bookshelf. I met him at the end of the isle, seeing his smirk once again.

"Listen, I'll give you a tip," he starts, "there's a way out of detention if you really want to get out."

I raised my eyebrow at him.

"See that?" He continued, pointing at the fire alarm. "That's your pass."

I rolled my eyes and told him, "Honey, you can't solve your problems with more problems."

"Oh, so we calling each other pet names now? Okay, princess," he winks, "and yes, you can if you're fast enough."

Hold up, princess?

"Fast enough for what?"

"Fast enough to run," he answers, "so are you in or are you going to be a pussy?"

Zachary narrows his eyes as he slowly walks closer to the fire alarm.

He stared at me saying, "I need your answer, princess."

I nodded, go on.

"Use your words. I want to hear you say it," he replied as his hands hovered above it, ready to set it off.

I was going to get in so much trouble.

"Set the fire alarm off."

And with that, he pulled the thing and it started ringing all over the place. I was too startled to even think of my next move.

It was then that Zachary had put his hand in mine and pulled me, running to the nearest exit, dashing through about a hundred other students.

"Is...this...really...necessary?" I ask in between short intakes of breathe, staring at our interlaced fingers.

"Shut up," he laughed.

I was starting to get dizzy, my eyes fell closed and I wasn't catching up with where we were too. What I do know is that we were enveloped by a load of students so we were probably out.

A couple of seconds after, I felt the crowd thin out finally and Zachary slowing down to a stop.

I realized we were out the campus and when I opened my eyes, I fell on him, panting.

"Hey, princess, we did it," he grinned, "I like this position."

What position?

"Oh, my gosh." I jumped when I found myself straddling him.

He just sat there laughing.

"Oh, my gosh!" I jumped again when it hit me what I just did. "I'm going to be in so much trouble after what we just did."

I'm dead.

Zachary put his hands in both sides of my face and said, "Chill out, no one's going to find out who did it."

"I could swear the librarian saw us pull it," I told him, "My parents are going to kill me."

He started laughing again, "Asteria, the school doesn't really tell your parents what you did. They just say that so you wouldn't do it again."

From someone who gets in a lot of trouble, I believed him.

"The librarian did see us though. I heard her shouting at us when we started running," he shrugged.

"Shit," I groaned, "I guess that means more detention for us, huh?"

He smirked. "Cheer up, princess. All the more reason I get to hang out with you."
