CHAPTER 51: PHOTOGRAPHS

"Okay, okay. Position your backs properly. 1, 2, 3" Jongin counted, as we lifted up the jetski off of the sand. "This is heavier than Jisoo!" I grunt, supporting the lower back of the jetski. "Less talking, more lifting" Tzuyu complains, as we carefully make our way towards the hole they digged few days ago. "Yah! Leveled it to your waist, you idiot!" Lisa growl at me. "It's not my fault that Yeri's the one at the front!" I spat. "WOW! Thanks for appreciating my volunteered work, LULU EONNIE" Yeri mocked me and intentionally raised up the front part of the Jetski and the weight instantly switches at the back. "YAH!" I growl, so does Tzuyu, Lisa and Jongin.

"ARGH! My back hurts so bad!" I winced in pain, as I laid my back on the sand. "So does mine, babe" Jongin said, laying next to me. "Mine too, but letting that midget helped us was much a painful fact!" Tzuyu said with bitterness, laying her head on my stomach. "Atleast, we got helped" I said. "Yeah-- and a backache" Lisa said in sarcasm which I rolled my eyes in return. "We better go back to work now, we still have plenty of things to finished" I said, fighting back my tiredness. "Yeah, before Joohyun eonnie splashed us with another pail of water, straight from the ocean" Tzuyu said in a duh tone, standing up first. "You mean-- that almost boiling water? I could do the same thing to her, if only Seulgi eonnie did not glared at me" Lisa rolled her eyes.

Fast Forward: [After lunch-- Day 3 of Renovation]

"Everything is working accurately according to our time table" Jisoo pats me on the shoulder, as I nodded my head, satisfied. "Great, but we should hurry renovating this house" I stated, making my way towards the old couch. "Those are bloodstains, right?" Yeonwoo asks, carrying two tints of brown paint, on her way to the back kitchen. "You okay?" Jisoo asks, standing beside me. "Yeah, anyways-- if Hyewon or Seulgi eonnie looks for me, tell them I'm searching for Nancy" I said, running my way towards the back kitchen.

"There you are!" I said, panting at the same time. "Hmm" Nancy hummed, leaning her back on the tree trunk while reading a book. "What are you doing here in the woods?" I sternly asks, arching my eyebrows at the same time. "Reading" she replied, her tone was dull. "Hmm, yeah~ reading it upside down" I said in sarcasm, snatching the book away from her. "YAH!" Nancy glared at me. "What are you doing here? Alone" I repeated my question, flipping the first page of the book. "Can't I have some alone time?" she said in a low tone. "Alone time my butt, McDonie-- I hissed, staring straight into her orbs. "Where did you get this PHOTOGRAPHS?" I asked. "Hmm" Nancy let out a sigh, grabbing back the book.

"When Uncle Kim adopted you, Yeonwoo and I still visited you at your house, hoping we can see you there-- Nancy paused, as she smiled at me bitterly. "But we found that instead-- it looks important so we keep it" she shrugs and pats my head. "I hope you find some memories in there" She said. "Hmm" I hummed, but Hyewon's younger version flashes through my mind out of a sudden. "You okay? Do you remember anything?" Nancy asked me, worriedly. "Come with me!" I said, gripping on her wrist. "YAH! LULU SLOW DOWN!?" Nancy protest.

"What are you two doing in there?" Hyewon asked me with a blank expression. "Girl, chill. We didn't do anything nasty, okay?" Nancy rolled her eyes. "I have no time for this, Kangchan. You two, follow me in the ship, but bring Yena, Seulgi eonnie and Yeonwoo with you" I instruct, walking ahead of them.
