"I wish I could say something to him" Kira informed Lydia as the pair stood in front of the latter's locker,
"I wish I could say something to all of them. But I don't know how much space or how much time I'm supposed to give. And I know I'm still just the new girl at school"
"You ever run track?" Coach's voice overpowered anything else as he and Malia walked down the hallway,
"I mean, you have excellent muscle definition"
"Not for long" Lydia told the girl distractedly.
"I sometimes ran from cougars trying to eat me" Malia informed the coach nonchalantly.
"I've had the same problem" Coach informed the girl with his own air of nonchalance,
"So, listen, we're gonna start off slow. You know, a few classes here and there. Don't worry. You'll learn fast"
"I intend to" Malia nodded before smiling over at Lydia and Kira.
"Have you heard from her?" Kira questioned in curiosity.
Lydia hesitated for a moment before nodding slightly,
"She, uh, texted me the other day. Told me not to worry about her and that she was fine and I shouldn't look for her, but her car is still in her garage, so she hasn't actually gone anywhere"
"Is that where Scott and Stiles are?"
Lydia hummed with a small nod,
"Scott yes, but Stiles is right there"
"Hey" Scott greeted the brunette that was lying in bed unmoving and unblinking as he sat down beside her,
"I brought your favourite, honey chicken and fried rice, I even managed to finagle peach pie"
Scott sighed when the girl didn't answer him causing him to shuffle closer to her, helping her sit up and hold her into his side, brushing her hair rhythmically,
"Come on, kiddo. Give me something, anything"
Pickett, who jumped up onto the bed after Scott sat down, let out a whine as he jumped onto Rory's lap and forced his head under her hand. Scott let out a small sigh again before resting his head on top of Rory's for a moment before humming,
"Let's go eat something, okay? Come on"
