Last night I bled on paper...

I thought I'd try out a bit of poetry today! It's been forever since I wrote one of these, reminds me of the old days where I'd part take in writing competitions at school and always pick a poem because I thought them so simple to write. As I got older however, I found them harder to write because I never knew what to write about exactly.

Anyways! I decided why not give it a try and you guys tell me what you think! Enjoy, vote if you like it and share.

Last night I bled on paper

An experience I won't soon forget,

My hand a helpless servant

To the catastrophe in my head.

Last night I bled on paper

And tainted it in tears,

Drenched it in my deepest doubts,

Painted it in fears.

Last night I bled on paper

Till there was nothing left to bleed.

Nothing left to question,

Nothing left to need.

Last night I bled on paper

Till the pages tore in two,

Till the blood flowed through

Onto those pages too.

Till the grip of my thoughts, once tightened,

Loosened, lightened.

Till dormant parts of my mind

Awakened, brightened.

Sick bits in my head

Cleansed, enlightened.

The thought of thinking

A thought to delight in.

Last night I bled on paper

I emptied my veins,

I let all hell break loose,

I undid the chains.

Last night I bled on paper

I emptied all my pain.

By the time I was done bleeding

I felt almost sane.
