"How are you doing, 9?" UMP45 asked her sister as she approached. UMP9 gave her a small smile, and scooted to her left to show that she was drawing with a few children. UMP45 smiled, and sat down to watch.
The two girls looked up when they heard footsteps approaching, and saw Agent L/N. "Hey... hate to ruin the moment, but we've got work to do." He said. The girls nodded, said goodbye to the children, then followed Agent L/N to a room that has a map and a few other things.
The area of interest is underneath a bridge, where a set of doors closed the entrance to an underground runway for pipes.
"Okay... so first order of business, Agent L/N clapped his hands together. "A group of Revolutionaries have been camping out nearby, and I'm worried they'll attack soon. To stop that, we're gonna have to get in there, and wipe 'em out. Afterward, we'll take the food supplies I saw while scouting. Not only will that food keep us fed, but it will discourage any hostiles looking to occupy that area." He explained. "This is where we'll enter, and here's our escape route in case things get hairy. Any questions? Comments?" Agent L/N asked, getting shaking heads. "Alright, let's move out."
Once the group of three was done getting ready, Agent L/N led them to the entrance of the camp. "So, what's the strategy?" UMP45 whispered. Agent L/N responded by taking out a C4, and motioning for the two to step back. The girls sweat-dropped, stepping back as he got the charges ready. Once he was done, he back away, then held up a hand. '1...' His index finger went up, '2...' His middle finger went up, and the girls got ready. He didn't bother going to three, and just blew the entrance into Oblivion.
The three rushed into the camp, waiting for the occupants to show up. After a few moments, shouting men and women stormed out from a batch of makeshift shelters. Agent L/N two of them dead, while UMP45/9 shot the others. The Revolutionaries ducked behind cover, which prompted Y/N to bring out ball, which he placed on the ground.
Before UMP45 could ask what it was, it started rolling rapidly to the enemies behind cover. Two screams were heard, and an explosion followed. The three peeked over their cover, only for Y/N to duck out of a flying leg's path.
"Come on, there aren't many here, so that must've been most of them. There might only be five or six left." Agent L/N said, getting up to enter the next room. UMP45 gave the bodies a side-glance as they passed, and she could see that along with the explosion, there were fragments of metal sticking out of the victims.
The three now walk quietly through a long corridor. UMP9 lightly tapped Agent L/N's shoulder. "Hey, what was that ball?" She asked, tilting her head. "That was a seeker mine. It's one of the gadgets I found in a SHD tech cache." Agent Y/N replied. "SHD?" UMP45 asked. "The SHD Network is a system that connects all Division agents together. If you didn't know before... I'm an agent of The Division." He explained, tapping his wristwatch as he held it up. "I was wondering about that..." UMP9 murmured to herself.
"The... Division? There's nothing in front?" UMP45 asked. "No, just The Division. We don't have any kind of formal tactics, we really just kind of work on our own." Agent L/N responded. "I see... well, let's get that food." UMP45 replied.
...
Agent L/N quietly opened a door, which led into a dark room. He turned on the flashlight attached to his M16A1, and panned it across the room. The girls gasped, when his light illuminated a man slumped against the wall.
Upon further inspection, Agent L/N was shocked to see a Pulse on the man's shoulder, indicating he's a fellow Agent. He cautiously approached the "cage" which was just a fence drilled into the walls, and broke the lock with butt of his rifle.
The man flinched, and looked up. "Are you okay? What's your name?" Agent L/N asked, slowly moving forward. "...A-Agent Azur." The man replied. The sisters looked at each other in worry while Agent L/N leaned down.
The man hissed in pain when Y/N touched his arm, which seemed to be broken. "Sorry, sorry." He apologized, turning Azur's arm to look at his watch. The watch was damaged, and the light flickered every few seconds.
"Okay..." Y/N murmured, putting his gun on his backpack. "Change of plans. You guys secure the food, and I'll transport Azur to the BOO." He explained, then looked at his watch. "ISAC, can you predict a path for them?" He asked. UMP9 tilted her head. "Uh, isn't his name Azur?" She asked.
"Oh, I'm talking to ISAC." Agent L/N replied, pointing at his watch. A monotone, robotic voice then said, "Predicting a path to the objective... mapped. The food supply is approximately one meter away, hidden underneath some armaments." The girls were in awe, as was Y/N, but for a different. "Damn, thanks for the extra info, ISAC." He chuckled. "Okay... I'll take him to the base, you guys take the food, and I'll come back for the weaponry." Agent L/N ordered, getting nods of approval. He hoisted Azur onto his shoulder. "Alright. Godspeed." He said, turning to go back the way they came.
...
"Ah... my arms are sore!" UMP9 whined, setting down a container full of canned food. "I'll give a massage later." UMP45 promised, getting a smile from her sister. Just as they got done talking, they saw Agent L/N walking into the BOO. He was carrying two boxes full of guns on his shoulder, with one arm. He nodded to them as he walked by. The two sweat-dropped.
...
"So, what's up?" UMP45 asked, her and her sister standing in front of Y/N. "Well, thanks to that food we got, the people here are well fed and full of energy. So much so that they repurposed some of the plantables into a small farm." Agent L/N replied, pointing to said farm. "That'll keep everyone well fed for a while. Good work." He said, then got out two black crates. Each has an emblem of a orange, burning eagle.
When they didn't say anything, Y/N gestured to the boxes. The sisters opened the boxes, and were shocked to see a SHD wristwatch in each. "We need more agents around here, so I'm officially recruiting you two. If you keep up the good performance, I'll get you some cool gadgets like my seeker mine." He explained.
The girls put on the watches, as well as the Pulse. (I don't know if that's what it's called, but it's the little rectangle that goes on your shoulder.) UMP9 held her hand out to look at the watch. "Hello, Agent..." UMP45 tilted her head. "You have to give it a name to call you." Y/N explained, getting a quiet, "Oh." "UMP45." She said aloud. "Confirming... Hello, Agent UMP45. I am ISAC, the Intelligent System Analytic Computer."
UMP45 grinned. "Wow, this is so cool!" She chirped. Agent L/N smiled, then motioned for them to come closer. "I'll show you how to calibrate ISAC to monitor your armor's integrity." He said.
Once they were done with that, Agent L/N took them to the clinic, where Agent Azur is resting. "He has several broken bones, along with a few cut wounds. His watch is beyond saving, but it'll have to do, for now." He explained.
Agent L/N then looked at a clipboard. "We've still got more work to do... but that mission was more strenuous than I thought it would be. We'll take a break for today and continue operations tomorrow." He explained. "As for you guys..." He trailed off, getting squeaks from the girls who were either eavesdropping or watching from afar. "There's a DMW bade not too far from here with medical supplies. Let's go."
