Mystic Falls, VA.

Kaiden and Hope were sat in the latter's room with their aunt Freya, talking through the binding curse and what it would entail. "It'll be painful," Freya told them both, a serious expression resting on her face as she shifted her gaze from Hope who was sat on the bed beside her, to Kaiden who was sat on the chair just in front of them.

"Don't care," Hope replied firmly with a shrug, the only thing currently on her mind being saving her mother. "You could both die," Freya told them both seriously, slyly attempting to persuade them both to disagree with the plan. "Same answer," Kaiden replied with the same expression resting on his face as Hope causing Freya to sigh heavily.

"We're talking about snuffing out a fundamental part of who you guys are-" Freya begun with a serious tone, pleading that they understood the severity of the consequences the spell had. "Which, as according to you, our mom never wanted us to trigger anyway," Hope retorted, a look of passive annoyance on her face as she realised Freya was trying to dissuade them from doing the spell.

"But which she wanted to be your decision," Freya added with a stern look on her face. Kaiden shrugged, not understanding why his aunt was so against them doing the spell; to both him it was a win-win. The boy didn't want to trigger his curse anyway - binding his werewolf side would not only ease his trepidation's but would also bring his mother home safely. "And we're making it," the younger twin retorted firmly, knowing nothing could ever change his mind about going through with it.

Freya sighed, her expression softening slightly as she looked between both her niece and nephew. "Not like this," the blonde stated softly with a gentle shake of her head causing the twins to frown in response. "Listen, I know what it's like to have something taken from you against your will, okay? For me it was time," Freya explained to them both with a hint of warning in her tone.

"Years and years, cursed to sleep by aunt Dahlia while the world spun around me. And I am telling you, when you realise everything you've missed," the blonde trailed with a sad look on her face, "it devastates." Hope and Kaiden both went silent for a moment before the older twin stood from the bed with a firm look on her face. "You know, if it were just to save my mom, I'd want to do it," Hope begun with a desperate tone.

"Or it could be the fact that I'm partially responsible for her being taken," she continued, guilt creeping its way onto her expression as Kaiden suddenly turned his attention towards the floor. "Or that I'm not even sure I want this freakish side of myself," Hope admitted with a shrug, "but its all of those things. So please, Aunt Freya, get whatever supplies that you need because you, Kaiden and I are doing this," the tribrid stated firmly, leaving no room for challenge.
