Opinion of total drama couples/characters in all seasons

Sky and Dave

Where do I begin? Sky is another character I dislike just the way she acted toward Dave throughout the season. I understand it's a competition and the contestants are there to win the million, however after a while Dave told Shawn he would give up the million to be with the girl he loved even voting himself off saving Sky's butt from being eliminated.  

I just can't see these two as a couple even though I'm sure some would find them to be adorable, but again this is my opinion and no I just can't. Yes, there have been couples who are different that have clicked like Harold and Leshawna even though the two didn't officially become a couple. However, with these two I just find them very incompatible and the way Sky lead Dave on it had more manipulation then anything. Sky is a determined, competitive, athletic girl who's only there to win the million using her skills in gymnastics and athleticism to keep herself in the game. Dave is..very very afraid of germs and even though he is able to stay in the game for a while I couldn't see him getting farther then he did especially when he didn't bring anything to the table. He wasn't determined with anything except to get Sky to go out with him, which as we all know was his downfall due to the heartbreak causing him to vote himself off.

I'm sure some people are thinking or saying while reading this, "But they've had romantic moments like other couples."

Sky helped Dave calm down when he got dirt on him, Sky thought Dave was cute and nice, and when they had to kiss on a dare she got nervous causing herself to burp in his face. Yeah in a way, they were romantic, but again Sky was leading Dave on...and Dave couldn't seem to take no or the hints she was dropping due to her own confused feelings. It wouldn't have worked even if they became a couple since I think it could have turned into a toxic relationship because of the manipulation sky used on Dave to her advantage because of how much he cares for her. 

"But she was jealous about if anything was happening between Ella and Dave. Sky was happy when Ella told her Dave liked her. How can you still say Sky doesn't like Dave?"

Again, as she even said she was there to win, "not to meet boys" and I just don't truly believe she had real feelings for him. It was most likely just a small crush, and with her competitive nature the goal for her to win was more important then her own feelings to a boy she didn't know for long. Even when she figures out, perhaps this goal oriented girl has a crush on her competition she pushes it to the side saying "I'm not here for romance he gets it." Dave is truly a sweet guy who just wants to be loved as he truly cares for sky, planning picnics, wanting their first kiss to be perfect, voting himself off even though Sky treated him cruelly as he felt there wasn't anything left for him on the competition since he was rejected. Dave tries to act more like her by being competitive and fierce..even though the advice was from Shawn...He was still determined to get Sky to like him since well..he's that blind in this one sided relationship. Pent up with rage and irritation with Dave, Sky finally blows up saying, "You were never my boyfriend, and you will never be my boyfriend!  And you have no shot of beating or dating me got it!" After the two went to hide, this is when Sky finally told what would come after the but that Dave didn't want to listen too. I seriously think she should have tried harder to tell him no, but I think she saw him more as another vote that wouldn't go against her keeping her in the game to the end. If she truly wanted to spare his feelings Sky would have told him immediately. Reaching the final, Chris let Shawn and Sky chose helpers and since Dave doesn't bring anything useful to the table, their awkward relationship while he was there, and the crush he had on her Sky whined when she had no choice but to have him as a partner. Then the most irritating moment happens..she kisses him. If you think Sky has true feelings for him why would she be worried about two threats against her, give it some thought, suddenly need the boy she apparently doesn't like to help her by kissing him creating a lie why she didn't want him to be her partner then saying "so you'll help me win this challenge?" All she cared about was winning the million people! That was clear manipulation right there! After he hears the words he's been waiting to hear. I mean if Dave wasn't so blinded by his crush on her just maybe he would have seen past her lie. Dave found out about the boyfriend finally realizing that Sky lead him on and that was the end of those two which I'm glad.
