Cheering crowd, Packed up in the sandy arena; With the prickly hot sun, Above their heads Seething and soothing.
As the riders jump All the hurdles One at a time, Two at a time, Even more..
In crisp polo shirts And thigh high boots They command the horses Show their glory, Grace and valour.
The cheers get louder, louder and louder.. At mere sight Of the majestic manes In bands and braids.
The statuesque stallions, As they fly For a moment high; Land in elegance, Poise and balance.
Spectators, bated breath, Eyes, open wide.. As the horses jump And riders clutch Their sturdy rein.
The muddy ground Tremble in awe, At the marvelous display Of jumping in splendor, Dressage and play.. . . . . . . . ~~~~~~~~~\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\~~~~~~~~~ A treat for your eyes..
