"Who are you and what are you doing here? Who authorized you to enter here?" I asked feeling slightly angry because I am the only one who comes here. The stranger chuckled and didn't even move from the dark-leather armchair, he just elegantly crossed his legs and took a sip of tea. By the smell itself I knew it was green tea which I ordered directly from China. That asshole took it without even asking.

"Wow, you certainly love to ask a lot of questions. Unfortunately for you, I get bored from answering them." He answered calmly, making me even more irritated. I rolled my eyes while he stared blankly at me. "Plus, I am  slightly disappointed that you don't know who am I." He added and I snorted. "Oh I am sorry I've hurt your feelings, your Royal Assness. Would you please be so kind and enlighten me?"

Loki slightly tilted his head up, eyeing me not so happily. "Are you mocking me?"
I tried not to burst out laughing because I instantly knew he was annoyed. "Oh I have no idea what you're talking about." I left my book on the nearest table and started  strolling around the room. I could feel his eyes on me the entire time, both of us were cautious. He stood up and walked towards me with same pace."Well If you must know, I am Loki Odinson."

I froze and turned around, staring at him with widened eyes. Without hesitation, I took a small dagger which was  hidden in a fake book that I always keep in the library in case of an emergency. "You...!", I snapped and pointed my weapon at him," How dare you come back here after all the chaos you've caused! The audacity you have is unbelievable."
" You can point that thing somewhere else, you don't know what I'm capable of." He scoffed and out of the blue, a similar dagger appeared in his right hand.

"Oh please, you think I'm scared of you? You're so pathetic."

"Now you're really starting to piss me off, you mortal."

"First of all, my name is Sophie and second of all, you're not the only one."

We continued to glare at each other, both standing still with daggers in our hands, waiting to see who will make the first move.
"So, are you going to attack me or what?" Loki asked, clenching his weapon harder.
"That depends if you'll continue to act like a douche." I replied, twirling my silver dagger with emerald green handle.
"I think you're the bigger one." He commented and that was the moment he crossed the line.
"Why you-" In that moment, Steve, Sam and Thor barged in the library, surprised by the sight of the two of us, on the verge of fighting.

"Sophie!" Steve yelled out and instantly got my attention.
"Loki what did you do?" Thor stared at his brother, looking slightly disappointed.
"Don't blame me, she's the one who started it!" He defended himself, offended by the accusation. All of them looked at me, which made me a bit uncomfortable, but luckily I hid it pretty easily. "What the hell was I supposed to do? He's a criminal and not to mention an arrogant jerk."

"An arrogant jerk, how dare-"

"Loki, shut up." Sam cut him off and I could notice Loki tensing up.

"Sophie I understand how you feel, but there is no need for violence. We've talked about this." Steve pointed out and I know he's always right but I hated when he gives me one of his Noble talks.

"Alright grandpa.." I sighed and Loki chuckled. I instantly looked at him and the moment he noticed it, his face became expressionless again.

I left my dagger on the nearest table and decided to get out of the room since I couldn't stand sharing oxygen with Loki. "This isn't over. You still took my tea without asking." I pointed my index finger at him furiously and then I turned around to the others," And keep him out of the library I don't want him to bother me while I read."With that being said, I took the book I came for in the first place and left with Sam so that he could tell me everything I've missed.

"What on Earth is her problem?" Loki stared at Sophie puzzled while she's leaving the room.

"I guess it's you." Thor simply replied, earning a side-glare from his brother.

In the meantime, Sophie found out everything that happened to the Asgardians recently.
"So.. long story short, Loki blew up Asgard because of their sister Hela who wanted to rule it and now they have nowhere to go but here?"
"Yes. The people of Asgard settled somewhere in Scandinavia and their leader is some girl named Valkyrie."
"That sounds awful.. I mean what happened to them. Losing a home is never easy, not to mention a father. Thor must be devastated." She sighed and hugged her book while sitting on her sofa next to her fireplace. "You should talk to him about it, I know you two are very close." Sam suggested and she smiled a bit. "Yeah I will, but maybe later. There's still a lot going on, I don't want to pressure him."

After a moment of silence, Sam decided to go to the kitchen to grab a bite. Sophie agreed to do the same but first she wanted to take a shower and change into fresh clean clothes, since she was still wearing her jogging outfit. She settled for her favourite Sacramento green sweatshirt with matching converse shoes, plain black T-shirt and black leggings. She checked herself out in the mirror and tied up her dark brown shoulder-length curly hair in a messy bun. "Dammit these freckles are unbelievably annoying."

She went to the nearest elevator and pushed a button to enter. The door opened and Nat brightly smiled at her. They hugged and Sophie pressed the button for the kitchen floor.
"How was your morning?" Natasha started the conversation. Her friend took a deep breath and leaned back at the wall of the elevator. "Quite interesting, I've met the biggest douchebag on Earth, if not Galaxy."
Nat chuckled. "Loki, huh? I've never liked him either and I certainly still don't trust him."
"He's so proud, arrogant and his stubbornness is bigger than the Empire State building. I can't stand him!"
"Well, you're a bit stubborn too." She pointed out and Sophie looked at her confused. "What's that supposed to mean?"
"Nothing, I'm just saying.." Nat chuckled and got a gentle punch in the arm. "Hey! That was unnecessary." Sophie smirked and walked out of the elevator. Natasha joined her and continued to chat while walking towards the kitchen.
