I am a few days passed my due date night. Youngjae and I are waiting very patiently for baby Sunwoo to come. We hope it will be soon as we can't wait to meet our baby boy and I'm fed up of being pregnant now. Just can't wait till he's here. I will be induced if I go on more than a week. It's so tedious and boring waiting for me to go into labor. I am laying in bed having a rest right now. Youngjae is in the kitchen doing his own thing. I text him if I need anything. I've been needing to rest more in the last few days and he really understands that. I have been resting for over an hour and I wake up as I think I've had enough rest. I open my eyes and sit up and yawn. I put on my slippers and go into the kitchen. "Hey. There you are" Youngjae said. "Yep" I yawn. "Oh you still look tired, honey" he said. "Yeah I am" I reply. "Are you hungry?" he asks. "No not really" I reply. I go into the kitchen and get a glass of water. I clench my bump as I move towards the lounge. "Are you okay, jagiya?" Youngjae asks. I don't reply. "Y/ N. Are you okay?" he said again. "I think I just had a contraction" I reply. "Do I need to take you to the hospital yet?" he asks. "No not yet. Wait a bit. We need to time the contractions" I say. I sit down on the couch in the lounge and he sits with me. "When they get closer together. That's when I will need to go to the hospital" I say. "Okay got it" he said. We time my contractions. It wasn't for a while till they got more frequent. That's when we went to the hospital. "I need to make sure we've got everything" Youngjae said. "All the bags should be in the nursery" I reply. He gets everything and puts it in his car before coming back for me. On the way to the hospital, the contractions started to get worse. "Ahhhh shit" I say. "Is the baby coming?" Youngjae asks. "No not yet" I reply. He carries on driving till we arrive at the hospital. Youngjae is a reckless driver. Even more so today as he just wanted to get me there but I'll let him off
I've been in the hospital for a few hours now. I'm only just a few centimetres dilated so it will be a while longer unfortunately. I just want labor to be over and our son to be here. Can't wait till he is. "Can I get you anything, baby?" Youngjae asks. "No thanks. I'll be fine" I reply. "Okay. Remember to keep drinking water" he said. "Yeah I know. You don't have to worry about me" I said. We continue to wait in the hospital for labor to progress. I didn't think it would be this long. Then again done women are in labor over 24 hours but hopefully that won't be me. "Youngjae, I just want this to be over with soon" I moan. "I know, honey. Me too but our boy will be here soon" he said. "I really hope so" I sigh. The midwives kept coming to check on me. "Right, Y/ N. Labor us progressing and you're 7.5cm dilated. Could still be sometime" the midwife said. "Okay" I reply. We waited and waited a while longer until midnight. I'm almost fully dilated but still no action. When I was nearly fully dilated, I got ready to push. Baby Sunwoo is about to be born soon. I grip onto Youngjae's hand and into the side of the bed too. I push and push and push. "Ahhhhhh" I scream. "Don't forget to breathe, baby" he said. I tried to breathe but it was hard too. I was pushing a human being out of my vagina. "You're doing really good, Y/ N" the midwife said. "You're nearly there, honey" Youngjae said. I carry on pushing until baby Sunwoo was born. "You did it. Our son is here" Youngjae smiles. I had to catch my breath before I replied. "I did. Finally it's over" I say. When Sunwoo was born, they clean him up and weighed him before handing him to us
Youngjae and I are holding baby Sunwoo. He was born about 30 minutes ago. He's a big boy weighing in at 8lbs 10oz. I can't believe I just gave birth to him. He's so cute though. "Babe, I can't believe you pushed this big boy out of your vagina. I don't know how you did it" Youngjae said. "Yeah I know. Trust me. It's hard to believe" I reply. "I am finally a dad and you're finally a mom" he said. "I know. It's such a great feeling" I reply. "May I hold my son?" Youngjae asks. "You sure can" I reply. I hand Sunwoo to his daddy for the first time. "Hey, my son. I can't believe you're finally here. Me and your mommy have been waiting 9 months to meet you, little guy" he said. "Awwww. He looks a lot like you, Youngjae" I say. "Haha I think he does. He has your eyes though, jagiya" he said. I smile. Youngjae holds Sunwoo for a while and gets to know him. He is a great father already. I knew he would be. We are so happy that baby Sunwoo is here safe and well. He's so great
