He leaned over her shoulder and looked at the book, all he saw were words.

Just plain, boring, simple words. Elijah couldn't understand what was so fascinating about a page with black ink on it.

But to Amethyst, it was more than just a page with ink.

They made her feel at ease, she felt happy.

An emotion she couldn't quite understand, she wasn't exactly sure if she was happy or not but whatever she was feeling right now.
