It was Monday, I woke early, showered and got dressed in a white dress with a small black belt and black heels.
I went down stairs to see Felix drinking coffee scratching Ed sheeran head slowly , while watching the news
I took the coffee from him taking a sip

"Look your boyfriends are on it,"
The three Penrose brothers were on the TV giving a speech

" they won...again, hey did you know that Penrose & associates never lost a case"
"No shit sherlock...it's not like I don't work there" I say sarcastically rolling my eyes at Felix
I was just a few blocks away from my the apartment waiting on a cab, when a limousine stopped at my foot.
" Elaina Ross?" The driver in the limousine

" who's asking" I questioned
"Mr Nicklaus Penrose asked me to pick you up"
This man just won't leave me the hell alone
"I'm fine....taxiiii!" I yell walking up to the yellow cab.
I was late to work for the first time, Ms Gupta messaged that she was going to be at work late or not at all.
Great
It was just lunch time, thank god I was of marrying my highlighters,then my pen the the stapler
After doing completely nothing work related at work I went to get an hotdog and a smoothie
Bing a message from miss Gupta
*I'm not going to make it, you'll have to go with Mr Dimitri Penrose to court*
"What!" I yell spitting out my hot dog
I went back to the firm, pacing nervously outside Dimitri's office before knocking
Wow this pacing as become an habit
The green light came up, I entered
He standing in by the door with a brief case in his left hand and his right hand in his pocket
" Dimitri" I spoke
"You address me as Mr Penrose, where is Ms Gupta"
"Umm- she won't be making....sir " I spoke softly "
He searched my eyes a second before he walked a away
The drive to the court house was quite, Dimitri entered the courthouse, with me tailing behind him
Everyone in the court house nodded when he walked by the all seemed to know the famous Dimitri Penrose, the patriarch of his family.
We entered the court room, I sat with the audience and Dimitri went where the counsels sat
The judge entered the room, he was a African-American male, he looked old and tired but he seemed amused when he saw Dimitri, he probably knew this case was a piece of cake .
"All rise" the baliff spoke
We all stood, then sat back down when judge sat
The judged named the case and the conviction, then right after the defendant testified.
Roger Hall a fifty year old sales man accused of murdering his assistant went to the witness stand, Dimitri stood
"Mr Roger Hall, where were you at 11: 50 pm Thursday, April 8 ?" Dimitri questioned
"At the Yummy's, a grocery store" Mr Hall answered
"You were at a grocery store ok, what time did you leave the grocery store?" Dimitri questioned
"Uh-Around 11:50 something, i-i don't remember"
"Oh yeah wait I have the answer to that question Mr Hall you left the grocery store at 11:58 pm" Dimitri says reading from a paper
"Oh yeah maybe" he answered
" is that a yes or no answer the question " Dimitri scold
"Yes" Mr Hall answered
"And you specifically stated that you reached at your office at 12:32 am the 9th of April when you found miss Melinda Davey was murdered in your office" Dimitri spoke louder
" did you stop anywhere before reaching the office?" Dimitri continued
"No I drove straight to the office" Mr Hall spoke wiping sweat from his forehead, he looked pale and sick like he was about to throw up
" and that's when you saw Melinda Davey on the ground dead correct" Dimitri's voice was calm
" Roger is it okay if I call you Roger?" Dimitri questioned walking closer to him
" it's a 6 minute drive from the grocery store to your office, what were you doing the 20 minutes before 12:32"
"I was - I was"
"You was you was, killing your assistant maybe" Dimitri stated
"Speculation, your Honor" the defendant stood instantly
" sustained" the judge spoke
" so what were you doing Roger, In the 20 minutes"
" I was walking to the Office" Roger spoke
" you walked, but I thought you said you drove earlier which one is it Roger?"
" anyways you stated in a report that Melinda called you dumb and ugly? And you walked away is that correct? Dimitri asked
"Umm yes" he answered looking over at his attorney
" I mean pssh... If someone called me dumb and ugly I would be pretty mad" Dimitri spoke walking closer to him
" you must be pretty stupid"
" I'm not stupid!" Roger yell
"No Roger really it's amazing how stupid you are Melinda must be laughing in heaven" Dimitri spoke relaxed
Dimitri was not fazed, the entire time he was humble and relaxed
"That stupid bitch got what she deserved I'm not sorry I killed her" he yelled standing from his chair,
The people in the court room all gasp
Dimitri in contrast remained nonchalant packing his brief case.
