Chapter Six

Burning was the only way to describe the pain he felt, Shawn was sure that Adam's attack would leave him with a scar. "I'll kill him, I'll kill that monster! " He cursed as he looked back to see that the love of his life making out with the monster that almost killed him. Burning with jealously and anger he forgot all about the pain and reached for his gun, only to find that it was gone. 'Where did to go?" He asked himself, "missing something? " A female voice asked and Shawn turned to see a teenage girl with long wavy brown hair and amber eyes, twirling his gun like it was a toy. "Put that down kid, before someone gets hurt. " He threatened but the girl didn't even flinch, "hmm let me propose a counter offer, " the girl said grabbing his hand and twisting it until she sprained his wrist. Shawn cried out in pain for a moment and tried to attack back but she was to quick. Shawn then landed face first on the ground and the girl laughed at him, "it's kinda off a shame, I found you kinda cute. " She said and then ran off leaving him there both embarrassed and hurt, 'I can't believe I just got beat up by a girl! ' He thought to himself.

"Adam, there you are we did you leave home again you know I hate it when you sneak away. " A female voice said interrupting Adam's moment with Rose, "I could ask you the same question Amber, I thought I told you never to follow me. " Adam said pulling away from Rose and giving his sister a look, "you did say that but someone has to make sure you stay out of trouble, plus I was worried that you might lose control of yourself. " Amber admitted and Adam's face suddenly turned grim, as he had gotten older his second soul was getting harder to control. "That's not going to happen because i'm not going to let, " Rose said attempting to grab Adam's hand but Amber stopped her before she could. "Wait a second who are? " Amber asked eying Rose suspiciously "relax sis this is Rose, remember my best friend. "
Adam said preventing her from blowing up on the girl, "wait you mean that nice girl who always gave you kisses when you we're sad? " Amber asked recalling the many times Adam had talked about how much he missed Rose. Adam turned bright red and Rose's face went pink, "yeah that's her, " Adam said and then Amber unexpectedly trapped Rose in a hug. "I can't believe I'm finally meeting you, my brother talks about you all the time, between us he seems to like you very much. By the way when are you two going to get married and how many kids will you have? " Amber asked "Amber! " Adam yelled turning red again, Rose giggled at this and told him it was alright. "It's good to meet you as well Amber, Adam always spoke very highly of you, " Rose said patting the girl on the back. "Little princess I think you should let Rose breathe, " Adam said and Amber immediately let her go and turned red at the nickname. "I'm to old for that nickname! " She declared quite embarrassed that her brother was still calling her that even though she was almost seventeen years old. "That may be true but your still little, " Adam said teasing her "I am not little, " Amber declared "yes you are, see your like two feet shorter then me. " Adam said continuing to tease her, "alright you two, I think you've embarrassed each other enough. " Rose said trying not to laugh, "putting that aside where have you two been all this time? " Rose asked "we've been hiding in the woods, I'm wanted for witchcraft and assulat so the government is out for my blood. " Adam admitted with sadness in his voice "they took our mother away, the night we left and since everyone thinks we're dead. Its time we break her out of prison, she didn't do anything wrong. " Amber said putting a hand on her brother's arm, attempting to comfort him. "I can't believe that anyone would try to rip a family apart, why can't they understand that your not evil? " Rose asked angrily kicking a rock near her foot, "not everyone is as accepting as you petal, I've learned that the hard way. " Adam sighed
