Astro Boy (OC insert)

Chapter 16

Third POV

Hamegg was training one of his robots for the Robot Games.

During the training, a giant robot steps on the robot Hamegg was training.

Hamegg look up at the giant robot, who is also known as Zog, and sees Astro, Val, Cora, Zane, Widget, and Sludge on top of it.

"Hi, Hamegg!" They all shout down to him.

"Sorry about your robot." Astro says, referring to the robot that Zog crushed.

"What? Oh, him? He wasn't really working out anyway." Hamegg says to them.

The kids climb down Zog except for Val, for she flew down.

"But, hey, this guy's something else! Look at the legs on this baby. Look at those feet. None of your carbon-fiber plastic junk on this guy. That's solid pig iron." Hamegg states to everyone.

"Astro got it running, which I'm still having trouble believing." Cora says to Hamegg.

"But it's been dead for almost a century! How did you do it? Please, tell me. How did you do it?" Hamegg asks Astro.

"I just kicked it, you know, like a vending machine. It was nothing." Astro answers.

"You hear that, kids? A genius with modesty. I didn't think it occurred in nature. You're almost too good to be true, kid. Keep this up and I may just have to adopt you, and your sister too." Hamegg tells Astro.

Trashcan starts to growl a little at this.

Hamegg got a device of some sort and put it in front of Zog.

"Holy cow. This thing's got enough juice to run a city." Hamegg says.

He then, accidentally, moves the device near Astro, which starts beeping really fast.

"What was that?" Astro asks Hamegg.

"Oh, nothing, son, just another machine with a mind of its own." Hamegg answers.

Val got a little suspicious of this.

Val's POV

We were going to start cleaning and decorating Zog.

We got all of our cleaning supplies

After a while of cleaning, we took a lunch break and ate on top of Zog.

Everyone was sitting on his arm while I was sitting on Zog's head.

After our lunch break, we got paint supplies.

Zane started painting Zog's name on Zog's chest.

After he painted Zog's name, we looked at it with confusion.

Astro points to the painted name.

Zane looks at it and notices that he wrote, "ZGO" instead of "ZOG."

He then gave us a smile that showed embarrassment.

After fixing the mistake everyone got to painting Zog more.

During that time, I was looking at how Zog was coming out so far.

To the side, I saw Cora fall off Zog.

I was about to go and catch her, but I stopped when I saw Astro beat me to it.

He turned on his rocket boots and flew to catch Cora. He then put her down.

I could tell Cora was shocked at first.

It was a good thing that nobody, except for me, saw Astro fly.

After a while Cora and Astro smiled at each other.

I gave a little smile to see Astro and Cora talking to each other.

After seeing this, I thought about what Astro said about Zane, again.

I looked towards Zane and I saw him staring at me, the way Astro said he would stare at me.

When we made eye contact Zane quickly looked away because he got caught staring at me.

I then smile and roll my eyes at this and continue on painting Zog.

When we were, done we brought Hamegg outside to see Zog.

Once he saw Zog, he started to laugh in happiness.

We then got in a group picture in front of Zog.

Astro was on the left while I was in between Hamegg and Zane.

I spread my wings out so they get in the picture too.

"Everybody say, 'Limburger.'" Cora says to us.

"Limburgurer!" We all shout as they picture was taken.

This was, by so far, the best day of my life.
