Every time I think about high school or someone asks me about my experience there, all I can think about is how I hated it.

I wish that I would've left certain people alone and I wish I would've interacted with different ones. The memories of my high school are sadly unforgettable. I tried to be what everyone else wanted me to be. I wasn't myself. Once I became someone else, there was no turning back and I was on a downward spiral.

I guess you could say I chose the life that I lived.

No one could've stopped me.

Not even God himself.

*Riiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnggggg!*

My first day of a new school. I'm a transfer from Beverley Hills High, an all girls school in California. I was living with my mom but the fast life took a toll on her and she ended up in rehab. My only other living guardian was my father, Nino Ramirez.

He lived in New Orleans and pretty much ran all things down there. Nino, or otherwise known as Sin. His street name was what he wanted everyone to call him, except his family. I was always scared of living with my father and I guess it was because of his reputation but mainly because we were almost strangers.

My father was 6'7, strong build and had some tattoos, not many. He was fully Dominican and he was bilingual which was a good asset when it came to running his business.

I on the other hand didn't know shit about Spanish but the basics

I on the other hand didn't know shit about Spanish but the basics. I knew how to say hello, and goodbye and maybe a few colors but that's about it.

My mom, Andrea, was 100% Black. She was proud to be a Black queen and she didn't let anyone forget that.
