Team Kakashi is watching the Chunin Selection Exam Finals. When a bunch of feathers rain down from the sky that makes everyone fall asleep.

Naruto, and Sasuke watch as Gaara flees from the stadium, being carried by his siblings. The blonde looks at Kakashi, who subtly nods in response. Naruto chuckled evilly, as he put on his mask, and pulled his hood over his head. A mist settles over the boy. Once the mist dissipates, Naruto is gone. He disappeared in a Mist Shunshin.

Naruto then appears in front of a Kumo-nin, and decapitates them. A mist envelopes around the blonde, following him, as Naruto is following Gaara. He is chopping up anybody with a Kumo, Oto or Suna hitai-ate.

Naruto continued to follow Gaara, who stopped four miles away from Konoha. He sees Gaara with sand covering his right arm, and a new tail made of sand. Gaara's right eye is now black, with yellow irises and pupils that each takes the shape of a black four-pointed star with four black dots around it. The blonde thinks, 'Shit!'

Gaara, in a demonic voice says, "Nice of you to show up... So I could kill you!"

Naruto replies, "That's what you think!" Chakra then explodes from Naruto as it takes the form of an orange colored fox demon that has nine-tails that are swishing back, and forth. He also adds some of his, and the Kyuubi's killing intent into the area. Which washes into Konoha scaring every shinobi fighting, except the two Kage. Who are now fighting together to kill Orochimaru.

Then a thick mist covers the area, with Naruto quickly disappearing into it. Naruto then gives out a Demonic chuckle that seems to emanate from everywhere in the mist, and then decides to slash at Gaara's neck, only for the sand arm to block it.

Naruto disappears once again, and attacks Gaara from behind, only for the sand tail to block it. The blonde then smashes the side of Kubikiribocho into Gaara's left side. He yells, "Gamayudan (Toad Oil Bullet)." Naruto then spits out a single huge bullet of oil from his mouth, that covers Gaara.

Naruto then weaves a string of hand seals. Snake → Ram → Monkey → Boar → Horse → Tiger. He yells, ""Katon: Gōkakyū no Jutsu (Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique)." Oil covered Gaara then ignites into a big ball of flames.

As the mist reforms, Naruto disappears into it. He then weaves a huge string of hand seals. Ox → Monkey → Hare → Rat → Boar → Bird → Ox → Horse → Bird → Rat → Tiger → Dog → Tiger → Snake → Ox → Ram → Snake → Boar → Ram → Rat → Yang Water → Monkey → Bird → Dragon → Bird → Ox → Horse → Ram → Tiger → Snake → Rat → Monkey → Hare → Boar → Dragon → Ram → Rat → Ox → Monkey → Bird → Yang Water → Rat → Boar → Bird. The blonde yells, "Suiton: Suiryūdan no Jutsu (Water Release: Water Dragon Bullet Technique)!" Naruto manipulates water into the shape of a dragon, which he then directed at a target. The water dragon then crashes upon the target, which makes him fly across the mist, and right next to a Shadow Clone.

The Clone then goes through a string of hand seals. Snake → Ram → Horse → Hare → Ram → Horse → Hare → Snake → Ox → Clap Hands. He yells, "Suirō no Jutsu (Water Prison Technique)!"

With a quick burst of chakra, Gaara is free. Gaara then sends his sand arm towards Naruto, who weaves some hand seals. Tiger → Ox → Tiger → Rat. He yells, "Suiton: Suidan no Jutsu (Water Release: Water Bullet Technique)!" The Uzumaki expels a large quantity of water in the form of a powerful torrent towards Gaara that hits him dead in the arm.

With the arm, and by proxy Gaara is stunned, Naruto then uses the back of Kubikiribocho, and throws it at Gaara. When the sword hits Gaara, the Suna Jinchuuriki flies back into five Shadow Clones. The clones kick or punch the target into the air, each yelling "U-ZU-MA-KI" as they do so. While the target is airborne, the fifth, and Final clone appears above Gaara, and brings Kubikiribocho down onto the redhead. A deep gash appears on Gaara's stomach, as he plummets back down to the ground.
