Daughter of Mine (OC request)

Hello everyone! Back again with another request xD, I'm really glad I have these to work on XD. This was requested by the lovely ScriptTheTabby so please show them love their shit is amazing xD. I hope you guys enjoy!

Plotline: Rainmaple, Mothwing's apprentice has secretly been seeing a cat from another clan. What will occur when things go too far?

Rainmaple opened her eyes softly, lying in her nest in the medicine cat den and looked over at the sleeping form of her mentor Mothwing. Her golden-orange eyes lifted up at the stars that glittered softly in Silverpelt, and using her little secret exit, the she-cat evaded the guards sitting near the entrance to the clan and slipped off to the ShadowClan border.

"Blackstar?" She murmured softly, tail flicking as the moon shone down on her pale grey pelt, and she purred as she saw the white pelt of the ShadowClan leader, whose eyes gleamed warmly as he approached her, tail flicking slowly. She knew that they were doing wrong, but they were happy. And besides nothing had happened.

Rainmaple paced back and forth anxiously outside of the clan. She was meant to be collecting herbs but she couldn't concentrate. For the past few weeks she had been tired, or felt sick when she woke up yet be fine. She was a medicine cat, she knew what was happening. W-we were careful!! A-always careful! Except...except for...

Rainmaple's ears went flat against her head as she paced back and forth, her thoughts racing through her mind like a WindClan warrior chased a rabbit across the moors.

What am I gonna do!? If the clan finds out they'll lose respect for me, and Mothwing's my mentor!

It's the middle of leaf-bare! T-things can go wrong during that time...!

What will this do to Blackstar? Surely I've got to meet him! But he hasn't shown up for a few nights...I could go to Leafpool, she always has good advice...maybe Mothwing will understand, she has before. Gathering her courage, Rainmaple walked back to the clan, her heart growing heavier and tighter with every step.

"Mothwing...?" The blonde she-cat turned and blinked warmly as her apprentice walked into the den, her ears flat against her head.

"Rainmaple? Is everything ok...?" The she-cat swallowed and lowered her head.

"I-I'm sorry Mothwing...I did something terrible." Mothwing tilted her head slightly and gestured for her apprentice to sit down, and placed her tail on her shoulder. Rainmaple swallowed and forced her eyes to look into hers.

"I-I've been seeing Blackstar for the past few moons...and a few nights ago we..." Her voice wavered and trailed off before she looked back down.

"I...I'm pregnant Mothwing...with Blackstar's kit..." Mothwing's eyes widened as she looked aside. Out of everything, she didn't expect this. Her mentor sighed as she looked back at her.

"I'm...I'm not happy about this," she meowed softly, Rainmaple looking down in shame. "But, I'll help you through this." Mothwing placed a paw on Rainmaple's smiling warmly. "I recommend trying to see Blackstar at a gathering instead of slipping off. Just know I'll be here ok? I'll love you no matter what." Rainmaple's eyes glistened with tears as she nudged her mentor, tail curling tightly.

"Thank you Mothwing...! Thank you..."

The weather was terrible. Rainmaple soon had to reveal she was pregnant to the clan but kept quiet about who the father was and thankfully, the clan was rather confused and some looked suspicious, but nothing bad had happened to them from StarClan, so they had accepted it. Mothwing had tried to convince the pale grey she-cat to stay at the clan, but Rainmaple had shook her head. It was still too early for her to give birth, and she needed to see Blackstar and tell him what was going on.

As RiverClan arrived, the gathering soon went as normal, and Rainmaple padded over to Blackstar, her tail flicking slowly. "Blackstar, can I speak with you for a moment?" Blackstar's eyes narrowed warily before waving his tail at his clan before walking to her, noticing how she led her away from the rest of the clans.

"What do you need Rainmaple? I need to get back to ShadowClan." Rainmaple sighed as she looked down at her belly before back up at the leader.

"I'm pregnant Blackstar, and the kit is yours." Blackstar's eyes widened, and the she-cat wasn't sure what she expected, but the response wasn't what she was thinking it would be.

"You're WHAT!? No...for the love of STARCLAN no!" Rainmaple's eyes widened as other cats turned to his commotion in confusion, Mothwing's tail flicking.

"I thought you would be happy! This kit will be your kin!" Blackstar growled as he paced shaking his head, ignoring the uproar from the other clans as they got louder.

"Why would I be happy about this!? This kit will be half-clan! I'm the leader of ShadowClan, this will ruin me!"

"Ruin you!? You made the choice to visit me! You think I planned for this you fox-heart!?"

"My clan respects me! This will cause them to lose faith in me! I can't be known as the leader who frolicked around with a medicine cat! Especially one from another clan!" Rainmaple's eyes widened before narrowing as she swiped her claws across Blackstar's nose. The tom growled and walked back to his clan, heading away. Rainmaple's ears went flat against her head as she barely registered Mothwing's tail on her shoulder. All she could really hear was the confused whispers and murmurs from the clans.

"Breath Rainmaple, it'll be alright..." Rainmaple nodded and tried to listen to her mentor before doubling over in pain wincing. No, no it's too early! Mothwing bent down to her and almost immediately knew what was happened, and tried to help lead Rainmaple out of the gathering after RiverClan as the weather got worse.

"Just hold on Rainmaple! It'll be ok!" They kept moving until Rainmaple crouched down and yowled in pain. They both knew she couldn't move any longer. The grey she-cat trembled and yowled in pain as she tried to keep calm. It's too early...! What if things go wrong!?

"Easy! I need you to breath and push for me ok Rainmaple!?" The she-cat nodded and tried to focus, except as things went on she slowly saw black spots beginning to cloud her vision, and Mothwing's voice seemed so far away.

"...maple! Stay...wake!"

As the she-cat's golden-orange eyes opened, she was met with the relieved face of Mothwing. "Oh thank- thank StarClan...I was so worried you didn't make it." Rainmaple coughed and winced, her voice quiet.

"T...the kits...?" Her unease slowly began to lift as Mothwing smiled and gestured to her belly with a paw.

"You only had one kit...a she-kit. She's small and sickly but she'll live..." Rainmaple looked down at the she-kit. She was grey and white with a black nose. Her eyes were still closed as she mewed softly, nudged into her mother's belly. Rainmaple purred and ran her tongue over her daughter's fur. Mothwing smiled. "She's beautiful. What will you name her?"

Rainmaple smiled up at her mentor, feeling happy and at ease. "Mothkit. I'll name her Mothkit." Mothwing's eyes widened and glistened with tears as she nudged Rainmaple gently.

"I promise dear, I'll help you raise her. We'll stay here for now until we are fine to go back home." Rainmaple nodded and curled her tail tightly around her daughter, warmth flooding through her entire pelt. She'd make sure her daughter was loved and cared for.
